Hi Friends and Happy Monday! It was a great weekend in these parts and I am looking forward to some springlike weather here! if you blogged today, please grab our graphic above and link up below! Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by!
Here is what our little weekend looked like....
Friday Night
Rob brought the girls to dance and acting lessons and I crashed! I ordered our "Friday Night Pizza Night Essentials" i.e. pizza and salads and enjoyed my dinner then got the girls and they had dinner. Someone has been obsessed with washing dishes- ha!
We all crashed early! The first week back after vacation was busy and intense and we were all feeling it! (even Remi) ;)
Saturday
Well my favorite way to start the day is by our date walk but the weather had other plans...sigh...rainy...windy..yucky...so we had a slow morning with our coffee and I got some work done...in recruiting, you take the business when you can get it...it is just like sales and I was able to finalize bringing in a new client..woohoo!
Then I headed out a little before 10 to pick up my girls- Cass, Laurel and BA and we headed into the big city. Each year, it is our tradition, to go out around St. Paddy's Day for dinner and girl time..this year, BA decided to kick it up a notch and suggested we go into the big city- Boston. We did and it was fabulous.
We did our own little restaurant tour....
First we stopped into our hotel, Marriott Long Wharf, and checked in and then we walked across the street to Provisions. While there, we tried amazing cocktails and split their burger (yes 4 ways!) So yummy :)
Next stop was my favorite, a cute place called "The Pink Taco." Cass and Laurel had been to the one in LA but it was new for BA and me and we loved it! So cute and creative! We shared a couple of pitchers of spicy margaritas (love the tajin-ha!) and three kinds of tacos- one with chicken, one with shrimp and one with pork- of course one dish entailed actual pink tacos- all so good!!)
Gotta kiss the Frenchie!
After that, we made a few more stops- Legal's Crossing and Sips to name a few....it was so fun to be exploring Boston again...it was crowded and felt so NORMAL...yeah!
Making friends along the way...
Then it was time to hurry back to the hotel and get dressed for our dinner at Ocean Prime...yes time to get fancy!
Once there, first order of events was the ever-famous "Berries and Bubbles"
Exhibit A
Some of our deliciousness
After this it was one last stop at Empire down the street....a place I want to return for dinner...this night it was hopping and like a club...truly felt my age with all of the 20 somethings around us and techno blaring- HA! Laurel insisted on getting an order of rice and it has now become a joke- we laughed so hard about this darn rice
That night I only slept 3 hours...couldn't sleep...UGH! Such are these years in your 40's right? Anyway- it was worth it to have this special time with my besties!
Sunday
I was up at the crack of dawn so showered and headed down to the lobby to read for awhile then Cass and BA joined me and we grabbed a coffee. Then it was time to head home!
Yesterday was full of cooking, getting organized for the week and yes napping!
Eva competed in her Destination Imagination "DI" competition and had a blast! She is so sad that it is over but her coach sent us the nicest notes about her and her leadership qualities- SO PROUD!
He also sent a few pics :) (Parents were not allowed in to watch due to the C word)
That's a wrap! What were you up to this weekend?

That sounds like an amazing girls weekend in Boston (and I LOVE your off the shoulder top!).
What a fun trip to the big city with your besties! Glad to hear that Boston was hopping...You are so good about creating intentional time with your friends. I hope you feel rested up this Monday and are having a great day!
I love pink and tacos so I need to find one! I love the food pics! What a good for the soul 24 hours. I can never sleep the first night when I go somewhere and if it’s only for one night - I’m just tired! Oh well! Have a great week!
What a fun weekend! I really want to go to Boston. I've only been to the airport, but I want to eat all the seafood. That Mexican food at The Pink Taco looks amazing! We have the best food truck here called Tacos-n-Ganas that has the most incredible street tacos I've ever tasted. I could eat Mexican food and seafood everyday of my life. I love them both! I love the name of The Pink Taco. I'm glad to hear things were crowded and felt normal again. I'm so ready for that! Thanks for hosting us each week!
How wonderful to have such a fun time with your friends with good food and drinks!
