Here we go!

Spring Fashion

We have SO many spring events this year!  It can be overwhelming.  I was in need of some items and scored some great ones on sale- it was a lot of work to seek out the deals but I am so happy with my purchases.  Check 'em out!

Sweater for our Egg Hunt AND Easter Season :)

Maxi Dress for Nights Out- Celebrating Some Besties' Bdays soon and also thought I could bring this one to Italy in August too.  Also meeting up with my high school bestie this summer to celebrate our 50ths and feel this would be appropriate for a night out in NYC- what do you think?

Easter Dress- and could also bring this one to Italy too!

First Communion and Confirmation Dress!  Will also double as an Office Dress

This stunner for Nantucket- haven't decided if I will wear it on Friday Night for Dinner or on Saturday for the Wine Fest- still planning my options for that weekend and you know I love options ;)

and because you know I ALWAYS need some Lilly- scored these palazzo pants and will wear them the day we head to Nantucket- I think they will be stylish AND comfy for our ferry ride and walking around and for those summer nights when I want to be comfy and it may be a bit cool for shorts :)

Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Fling Planning

I have been imagining this in my head and I always have big plans and as the day gets closer I panic a little...anyway...hoping it all comes together and everyone has FUN here tomorrow.

Here are a couple of things I am making....

Monthly Musings: Spring Fashion Essentials

Hi Friends!  Patty and I are so glad you stopped by!

This Month we are Talking Essential Spring Fashion Pieces- so much fun!  Hope you will join us by answering the questions below.....

Here we go!

1. How do you transition your wardrobe?

The biggest thing for me is switching from mostly black attire to brighter and springy colors and bringing back my Lilly.  I keep sweaters out all year as I tend to layer in spring with cardigans and then tie them around my waist when it gets warm.

Winter/Spring

 2. Favorite Spring Item?

My Louis Vuitton Never Full in Damier Azur :)

3. Favorite Spring Footwear?

Sandals and Flip Flops of Course!

4.  Favorite Colors You Wear in Spring?

Anything bright or pastel but as you may have surmised,  I am a BIG fan of PINK :)

5. Favorite Spring Accessory?

I would say my Kendra Scott Rayne Pendant Necklaces- they compliment my spring and summer outfits- Lilly ones and others- I love a pop of color that is a nice contrast to the top or dress I am wearing AND I am obsessed with Blenders Sunglasses...really all year now!

6. Ways to add Spring to your Outfit even when the Weather does not Cooperate?

Oh I should be a pro at this one...living in New England and all.  Just toss on a jacket- denim or leather.  That way you can still look bright and springy and be warm.  That's all I got ;)

7. Do you Change Up Your Makeup Routine in the Spring?

No I don't- I always stick to what works for me which is pretty much neutrals and some light pink from time to time

8. Puff Sleeve Trend?  Yes or No?

I think it is adorable but it is just not flattering on me

9. Do you Change up your Mani/Pedi Colors in Spring?

Yes I bring back the white and pale pink colors for sure!

10. Recommend your Favorite Spring Handbag/Tote

See Answer to # 2

That was fun!  Can't wait to see all of your spring fashion essentials!

 I read...

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

I picked it for book club- something different than I would usually pick or read and glad I did- although parts were slow I really enjoyed it :)

Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

But like science, life is unpredictable. Which is why a few years later Elizabeth Zott finds herself not only a single mother, but the reluctant star of America’s most beloved cooking show
Supper at Six
. Elizabeth’s unusual approach to cooking (“combine one tablespoon acetic acid with a pinch of sodium chloride”) proves revolutionary. But as her following grows, not everyone is happy. Because as it turns out, Elizabeth Zott isn’t just teaching women to cook. She’s daring them to change the status quo.

 Dear Body by Brittany Williams

I devoured it over my FL weekend- SO GOOD- she is an inspiration to me for sure!

Raised in a turbulent home, Brittany Williams learned to use food as a coping mechanism to manage her feelings at a young age. When she was 14, a family member’s comment “no man will want you with a pudgy figure like that” forever changed the way she viewed her body and opened a door, new and alluring, into the world of self-loathing, self-punishment, and dieting.

Told with Brittany’s unflagging honesty and trademark vulnerability, Dear Body describes the tensions of growing up in a body that often felt more like a traitor than a friend. She details the slow but steady work that went into dismantling hard-wired behaviors as she learned to trust in herself, even as she faced setbacks like heartbreak, pregnancy loss, and marital infidelity. As we share in her deepest moments of joy and heartache, Brittany reveals that the path to healing requires much more than changing what you eat, and explains how she was finally able to take charge of the course of her health and her life.

and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

(Book 1 in a 4 Part Series)

Would you rather know a truth that makes you feel hopeless, or keep believing the lies?

Beloved and bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with the spellbinding story of two young people with devastating pasts who embark on a passionate, intriguing journey to discover the lessons of life, love, trust—and above all, the healing power that only truth can bring.

Sky, a senior in high school, meets Dean Holder, a guy with a promiscuous reputation that rivals her own. From their very first encounter, he terrifies and captivates her. Something about him sparks memories of her deeply troubled past, a time she’s tried so hard to bury. Though Sky is determined to stay far away from him, his unwavering pursuit and enigmatic smile break down her defenses and the intensity of the bond between them grows. But the mysterious Holder has been keeping secrets of his own, and once they are revealed, Sky is changed forever and her ability to trust may be a casualty of the truth.

Only by courageously facing the stark revelations can Sky and Holder hope to heal their emotional scars and find a way to live and love without boundaries.
Hopeless is a novel that will leave you breathless, entranced, and remembering your own first love.
