Diana with her WHS Theater Director Alison O'Brien

Saturday

It was a whirlwind of a day trying to get all the things done- Breakfast for Diana- Chiro for Diana to make her knee and hip feel better (thank you Dr. Dan)- Dropping Diana off at WHS for the day/night (she had a matinee AND evening performance)- Then Daddy took Remi for his grooming appointment and brought Eva to Lorax Rehearsal and then I had to volunteer at WHS at the ticket counter.

That afternoon, Eva had her confirmation/communion retreat and her sponsor, Miss Lea picked her up for the afternoon...so cute!

Then it was home for Rob and I to get some organizing done and maybe 1 episode of Blue Bloods until we headed out to dinner before the show!

Saturday Night was the night I was determined to get some video footage- so I did!

 Sunday

It was all about getting the homework done first thing then breakfast and getting Diana to WHS for her last day of Mamma Mia.  Daddy and Pidge headed to softball.  I did the meal planning and made the grocery list and did some cooking.  Then we headed to the last of the shows- wasn't going to go but couldn't resist :)

It was an amazing run and Diana was already sad it was over while she was still on stage for curtain calls- she kills me!

LOVED

The Start of Spring...The Start of More Social Gatherings...The Promise of New Life...LOVE the end of winter...woohoo!

READ

Well this month was when my reading year turned around too...Praise God!  I read a few great ones!

Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

But like science, life is unpredictable. Which is why a few years later Elizabeth Zott finds herself not only a single mother, but the reluctant star of America’s most beloved cooking show
Supper at Six
. Elizabeth’s unusual approach to cooking (“combine one tablespoon acetic acid with a pinch of sodium chloride”) proves revolutionary. But as her following grows, not everyone is happy. Because as it turns out, Elizabeth Zott isn’t just teaching women to cook. She’s daring them to change the status quo.

Dear Body by Brittany Williams

Raised in a turbulent home, Brittany Williams learned to use food as a coping mechanism to manage her feelings at a young age. When she was 14, a family member’s comment “no man will want you with a pudgy figure like that” forever changed the way she viewed her body and opened a door, new and alluring, into the world of self-loathing, self-punishment, and dieting.

Told with Brittany’s unflagging honesty and trademark vulnerability, Dear Body describes the tensions of growing up in a body that often felt more like a traitor than a friend. She details the slow but steady work that went into dismantling hard-wired behaviors as she learned to trust in herself, even as she faced setbacks like heartbreak, pregnancy loss, and marital infidelity. As we share in her deepest moments of joy and heartache, Brittany reveals that the path to healing requires much more than changing what you eat, and explains how she was finally able to take charge of the course of her health and her life.

and I started the Hopeless- 4 Book Series by Colleen Hoover

Book #1 was Hopeless

Would you rather know a truth that makes you feel hopeless, or keep believing the lies?

Beloved and bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with the spellbinding story of two young people with devastating pasts who embark on a passionate, intriguing journey to discover the lessons of life, love, trust—and above all, the healing power that only truth can bring.

Sky, a senior in high school, meets Dean Holder, a guy with a promiscuous reputation that rivals her own. From their very first encounter, he terrifies and captivates her. Something about him sparks memories of her deeply troubled past, a time she’s tried so hard to bury. Though Sky is determined to stay far away from him, his unwavering pursuit and enigmatic smile break down her defenses and the intensity of the bond between them grows. But the mysterious Holder has been keeping secrets of his own, and once they are revealed, Sky is changed forever and her ability to trust may be a casualty of the truth.

Only by courageously facing the stark revelations can Sky and Holder hope to heal their emotional scars and find a way to live and love without boundaries.
Hopeless is a novel that will leave you breathless, entranced, and remembering your own first love.

LEARNED

How to be a "Bad Axx" Social Media and Internet Recruiter- I feel empowered!  I am still working through the endless material to share with my team- an ongoing process in my spare time- what's that? Ha!  Anyway- I learned so much and I am excited about the new tools I have at my disposal.  I am now a Certified Social and Media Recruiter through AIRS...yeah!

ATE

Mostly E2M meals like this one below

but my cheat meals have been super fun this month- wine group appetizers and our St. Patty' Dinner which included some truffle fries and while on vaca with my parents, I enjoyed the eggplant at an awesome Italian restaurant

So those are my 4 Things this month!
