Happy New Year Friends! 2018 is going to be a great year- failure is not an option! I wish you all much health, happiness and prosperity!

Here are some of my faves from this week.....

On Wednesday, I shared a couple of recipe wins in our house- healthy and warm for these cold winter nights! Check them out HERE

On Tuesday, I recapped the books I read in 2017. You can read the full review HERE
My top 5 faves of the year were as follows:
1. Class Mom by Laurie Gelman
2. The Silent Wife by A.S.A Harrison
3. Shattered- by Ann Rule
4. The Couple Next Door- by Shari Lapena
5. The Rumor - by Elin Hilderbrand
New Year Fun
On NYE, we went as a family of four over to the Batson's. We enjoyed such a chill night with friends. It was relaxing and fun and the kids had a ball!
Then on NYD, Mama snuck out for an amazing lunch and one last hurrah with the BFFs (diets started on 1/2/18 of course!)
Lilly Pulitzer APS
Well, I indulged in the APS and got even more competitive about it this year (with such discounted prices, you really can't resist). I had to show restraint though! But, happy with the few things I snagged AND SO HAPPY that I found the popover my mom wanted so badly! I am crazy enough to take a pic in the fitting room (only because it was so beautiful!) I stopped at Pink Parkway on my way home from work Tuesday night and so glad I did :)
I picked up this pretty sweater dress for work- 75% off- FTW!
Favorite MEMEs of the Week
Hope you all have a fun weekend! We are coming off the biggest storm of the season- eek- not my favorite time of year at all! Friday night, we are helping to set up for the banquet on Saturday and maybe hanging out with friends right after. Saturday, we have our Annual Wolverines Awards Banquet which should be fun- we will be dividing and conquering though as there are basketball games and family birthday parties mixed in too! Sunday will be mass and organizing for the week and then Mama is heading to see "I Tonya" with some besties- are you fascinated with the Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan story or were you ever? It was in the 90's (my favorite decade) and I still love reading and watching all about it. I am so excited for the 2018 Winter Olympics too- how about you?
Have a great weekend friends!

I really want to get to read more books this year--thanks for all of the suggestions! I've heard Class Mom is funny!
I am about half done with Class Mom and love it so far! My kids aren't in school yet, but I always say when they get to that point I want to be a 'stay at home wife' and just volunteer at the school. Maybe I should reconsider!!
Love those recipes and can't wait to check out some of those books! Happy New Year :)
The white chicken chili looks delicious! I'm glad you had such a nice New Year's. I haven't read any of your top five books of the year! I need to fix that! Hope you have a great weekend. 😊
