Friday Favorites (May 26, 2017)

YES!  One of my FAVORITE Fridays all year is HERE!
Woohoo!!!  It is Friday, It is Spring is the Official Start of Summer!  Bring on the horns and confetti!!

As always, linking up with Andrea, Narci and Erika HERE

As I write this post, I am over the moon excited for all of the Patriotic Fun this weekend!

Here are some faves from this week!

No matter how far back in my closest they matter where I got them from: After Party Sale, Ebay or Lilly herself, the prints always cheer me up when I put them on.  I feel younger...happier...and I know it only means that it is summer!

My Girls

Enough Said!

Girlfriend Time

From talking for hours in a playing enjoying wine grateful for my girlfriend time!

One of the things I love most about summer is grilling.  We use our grill almost every night!
Rob grilled chicken burgers this week and although the girls loved theirs plain, I kicked them up a notch for Rob and me.  I added caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and a dollop of ricotta- delish.

We plan on doing a "Burger Bar" this weekend for one of our get-togethers and I am going to pull a "Shay" and offer some "Gourmet Options".

Some of her recipes sound INSANE!

How about Blackberry Brie Burgers? Check out the Recipe HERE

Or a Gorgonzola and Grilled Peach Burger

A Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger?  Yes Please!

Princess Diana

Then....Now...Always...Such a Beautiful Soul.  I have enjoyed two documentaries over the last week.  They chronicled her life...her death...and the truth behind it all.  I still can't get enough of her.....

I hope you all have an EXTRA AMAZING Memorial Day Weekend!

Carpool Book Club

As I sip my coconut coffee, I always start with my daily devotionals and alone time with God.

After that, I start catching up on blogging.  I read my favorite blogs and write my posts.

I was going to do a Gratitude post as I will often do on Thursdays but then saw Narci doing her "Carpool Book Club" Linkup and so wanted to partake in this.  I guess because I have recently read three great books and wanted to share.  Linking up with Narci HERE

I would be remiss, however, if I didn't list my gratitude is the best way to live....

So this week, I am thankful for.....
Strong Business
Friends Like Family
A Hubby that loves dance parties with his girls
Having Zach home

and now onto the books.....

Here are the three I have read between April and May...I HIGHLY recommend all of them!

I LOVED it as I LOVE all of Elin Hilderbrand's novels.  Set in beautiful Nantucket, a widow, her children, and their special guest venture to their beach house for the summer and romances bloom...history comes back to haunt them and such....loved it...plain and simple!

The Rumor- another winner from Elin Hilderbrand.  This one was full of passion and romance and greed for sure.  It was more exciting and fast-moving than some of her others- loved this one too!

Kerry Lonsdale was a new author to me.  I picked this one up thanks for the suggestion from some fellow bloggers and it did not disappoint.  It was a suspenseful and quick read and it looks like the sequel is coming out soon.  I highly recommend it!

So those are my three most recent reads.
I am now currently reading Silver Girl, another novel by Elin Hilderbrand.

I would love to finish it by next week so I can include it in my What's Up Wednesday post but not sure that will happen with all of our planned holiday weekend fun!  Can't wait to see what you are reading!

Weekend Recap!

Springtime Bliss at its Finest!

Zach graduated from UNH- it was a wonderful day- celebrating our wonderful young man!

After graduation, we crashed at home and then I made my Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti (Recipe HERE) and brought it over to Lea in preparation for Brook's 1st Communion on Sunday...and yes I ended up staying and talking for hours..thank God for my bestie XO

On Sunday, we celebrated Brook's 1st Communion and we also got to see our friends' daughter Brooke's Communion too!

Sunday night we headed to the girls' last race of the HKRS Windham Series.  Mimi and Papa met us there.

Eva?  Not having it.  It was actually pretty hysterical-she threw herself on the ground a few times-chased after Rob- cried- and then barely crossed the finished line and laid a slug...we were dying!

and we still let her reap the rewards ;)

and then it was Diana's turn!  She hit it out of the park again- 1st place for 3rd race in a row.  Since we missed the first race of the season, she placed 3rd overall in her age group-we were still very proud and she was psyched to win a trophy!

We wrapped up our weekend with fro yo and tubby time.

Another wonderful weekend and very special for so many reasons- blessed!
