As I shared on Friday, Trick Or Treating was postponed again this year due to heavy winds so our Halloween season was extended...and we lived it up...however today, I am very happy to move on from all the spookiness and get into our full blown Thanksgiving and Christmas mode- ha!
Here is what our spooky weekend looked like
Friday Night
Rob and I attended the Annual Halloween Bash at Searles Castle. It was fun but I think we both have agreed that it has run its course....our most fun part was having our makeup done and getting to dress up as a group of vampires with some friends. We called our table "Windham's Immortals." If you are local, we highly recommend Makeup By Jessalyn- she is amazingly talented and such a nice person...she really helped us to dial our costumes up a notch!
Saturday
We had hair and makeup tutorials at the studio for Nutcracker and then Kate, Diana's Theater Director, helped her practice a scene for an upcoming audition.
Once we got home, we worked on our CCD homework and Confirmation prep work and completely De-Halloweened the house so Mama can start adding Christmas touches- yes I am one of those people- just go with it!
Then, it was time to finally Trick Or Treat! This year Lea hosted us and some friends and we rented a golf cart again- the kids had a ball as did the adults- there is something so fun about a Saturday Halloween...the weather cooperated...the neighborhood was flooded with peeps and golf carts and there was lots of excitement in the air...
Love Lea's Halloween Decorations
Eva driving the golf cart ;)
Eva loves Sam :)
Brooks' costume was the scariest!
Winnie The Pooh Crew- loves these girls!
My Pal- Baby Dylan
and then post Trick Or Treating fun back at Lea's!
Sunday
After CCD, Nutcracker rehearsals and some Christmas decorating, we got to wrap up our weekend with a beautiful Confirmation Sponsor Dinner at St. Matt's. Zach came to be with Diana as he is her sponsor and we brought Ella with us as I am hers. We enjoyed some confirmation prep, mass and a beautiful pasta dinner that was served to us. It was a really special night and we got to spend some quality time together and talk about how the sponsors can help the candidates for the rest of their lives
Check out the table we ended at...didn't notice until we started passing the bread around...got the chills
That's a wrap! Linking up with Heather and the Crew for Hello Monday too HERE
