Hi Friends and Happy Monday! We had a good one- hope you did too. Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by! If you blogged about your weekend, grab our graphic above and link back up with us below.
This is what our little weekend looked like....
Friday Night
We headed out for pizza at Par 28 (it's a nearby venue that offers indoor virtual golf, axe throwing and pup fare and they are known for great pizza) with Eva's bestie and family. They recommended it and asked if we wanted to join and so glad we did. We never ran out of things to talk about. We had so much fun. The pizzas were great too- we tried some different ones...
First, the Queen Bee- perfect mix of sweet and spicy with pepperoni, cheese, hot honey, crushed red pepper and tomato sauce
Next The Meatball Ricotta- pretty self explanatory
Eva slept over their house afterwards and Rob and I crashed as did Diana because....
Saturday
The alarm went off at 3am. It was time to help Diana pack up a few last things and get ready then we brought her to the high school where she was meeting her fello choir members and band members for their big trip to California (she is singing at Disneyland!)
Bye Bye Girlie- have the best time!
Rob and I went back home to bed for awhile. She was off!
When it was time to get our days started, I ran to Revitalize for a tea and then headed out to do some real estate work
Rob picked up Eva from her sleepover and then my Mama picked her up to head out for some birthday shopping-she was living the life!
Later on, I headed to a hockey moms gathering at Erica's- we had so much fun catching up, laughing and agreeing that even though our kids won't all be together anymore, we will all keep in touch because it is a special group!
Erica's hubby Steve spoiled us- I snapped this pic and sent it to Rob and he said, "tell Steve to dial it back...he is making the rest of us look bad." We were howling
Amy got us the sweetest gifts- hockey stick earrings for the Mamas
and hockey bracelets, complete with their numbers, for the kids
Love you Auntie Leighann!
Rob picked me up and then he, Eva and I tried out the new Greek place in town- we did takeout and it was great! I had my first gyro- so yummy!
We crashed early and hard and friends? I slept for almost 11 hours! I really needed it I guess!
Sunday
It was mass first thing and then time to prep for Eva's family party
I went with an Italian Feast theme
Apps were stuffed mushrooms and toasted ravioli with sauce from The Chateau as well as lemon chips with onion and garlic dip
Our main lunch/dinner consisted of Mimi's sauce complete with meatballs and sausages, ravioli (Eva's fave) , a chicken mirabella dish, La Scala Salad, Roasted Sweet Peppers, Rolls and Uncle Matt's amazing Caprese Salad- it was a true feast and everyone loved it (forgot to take pics of our actual dinner as I was busy hosting)
Here are some pics of our peeps!
Then it was time for cake
Eva a.k.a Pidge had a blast!
Meanwhile, we got some pics from Cali...not from Diana of course...from the WHS Choir Group on social media
and we were visited by a cardinal...we like to think that it was Grammy being part of Eva's celebration
The girls are on break this week...Diana gets back late Wednesday night and then we fly out first thing Thursday morning to South Carolina for a few more college tours...whoosh....what were you all up to this weekend? Can't wait to catch up!
