Diana and the girls cheered at the Unified Basketball Game again this week and Braeden wanted a pic with the girls after the game- so precious. Diana said it was the best moment ever. Love these kids!

WalkFit App
I discovered a new app...probably because it kept showing up in my Tiktok feed. It is an app to help me track my steps and work towards different walking and step goals. Even on the days I go to the gym, I struggle with getting steps in due to the nature of my job- I am at my desk, on the computer or on the phone most of the day. So I need to make a conscious effort to get up and walk around or get out at lunchtime and get a walk in if I haven't done one first thing. Friends, I will tell you, it is much easier to get out there and walk, whether it be on the rail trail or in the neighborhood, when it is a tad warmer...and when there is no snow because that makes a walk that much harder.
Anyway, I digress. It is a process. I started using the app this week. It started me out with a step goal of 5,000 a day to ease me into regular walking. It eventually will have me shooting for 10,000 steps. As I progress, I am going to invest in hiking boots and ice cleats so I can navigate the snow and ice, especially on the rail trail.
Another app that was suggested by a new friend I met at a recent party is "All Trails." It shows you state parks and walking trails wherever you are in the U.S. There are so many trails right around me! I will start utilizing this fascinating app once I have those aforementioned boots and cleats. I am getting excited just thinking about it. I get giddy when I think about hot springtime and summertime hikes. I am on a mission!
Anyway, I started with WalkFit and I love shooting for these little personal goals! I will update here as I see fit. Have you tried this app or any others you would recommend for walking?
The Beast In Me
Have you watched it? Rob and I started it on Wednesday night and we immediately got sucked in- we are already half way through the season! It is incredible! Check it out on Netflix and let me know what you think.

Yup on the coldest night of the year...we had a hankering...what can I say...and I snuck in some raspberries to get some extra fiber ;)
