Friday Favorites (January 5, 2023)

 

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!  This was a rainy and dark and at sometimes depressing week here BUT as I always do, I'm looking forward to better days ahead with more sunshine...more business and more human interaction...refuse to sink into the winter blues...a little way to help that is to look at some faves from the week...so here we go!

In case you missed it, I published our documentary! (34 minutes) I am over the moon with the way it came out and so grateful that Diana has this keepsake long after I am gone...here it is again...

2022- 1-2 Seconds A Day

I published this too yesterday- I love taking a picture of our every day life- it is so fun to look back on the mundane...the big moments and life in general...one of my favorite apps that helps me put this together each year...love looking back!

Winter Binges

Oh so many great binges during Christmas Break!  I saved up until after the holidays and all of the Hallmark and festive movies

The Watcher

I think I would say this one was my fave...based on a true story...so so creepy AND it has been renewed for a 2nd season-woop woop!

 

White Lotus

Both Season 1 and Season 2- oh it pulled us in- I would say Season 1 was my fave of the two- I loved the backdrop of Hawaii and the characters were more interesting to me- especially the newlyweds

Dead To Me- Final Season

 

So bittersweet...liked the way they wrapped this one up and wishing Christina Applegate good health in real life

 

 

 

Firefly Lane Season 2

Ok...I was a mess after this...cried really hard...the good news is that Season 3 "The Final Chapter" is due out in June so I don't have to wait a year to see what happens and I am counting down the days

and last night I started Ginny and Georgia Season 2- so excited to have this back!

and we have started up our binge watching again of "Last Man Standing" and "The Crown" Season 5- these will take us through the next few months- we will usually watch once or twice on a weeknight but more on the weekends

Juliette Has A Gun- NOT a Perfume

Seriously though?  LOVIN this perfume- you can snag it at Nordstrom's or Sephora- enjoying it as a Winter Scent for me- you know how I LOVE perfume :)

Resolving

My Mantras- Following The Joy - Making It Happen- But this year, too, Giving Grace- to others- to myself- to give it to God and not try to control anything!

Organizing

 

My closet...yes that beast...that ongoing project..this winter is it...de-cluttering...donating...organizing it ALL...wish me luck ;)

Anticipating

 

an uncertain year...focusing on the positive...and will do what I know is right...praying it's a great one!

 

Eating

E2M...which is pretty much a healthy balance of proteins, veggies and fats...eventually fruits will be thrown in there too...no better time to reset and "Make It Happen" :)

Hello Monday and Hello 2023!

 

Hi Friends!  Happy Monday AND Happy New Year!

It's 2023!  Are you excited for a new year?  A fresh start?  Well I am!

 Here is what our little weekend looked like....

 

 

Friday Night

 

The girls had a sleepover adventure at my parents so Rob and I hunkered down and started up our binging of "Last Man Standing" again.  We had takeout and were in bed by 8-it was luxurious! 

 

Saturday

 

 We had a lazy morning and then Rob went to grab the girls from my parent's house.  Not before they had a huge breakfast of course ;)

 

 

 Then we headed out to meet our Broadway Producer Friend for a coaching session for Diana- we have some homework and the experience with him is really fun!

That night, Eva hung with Papa and Diana went to a Birthday/NYE Party...the girls really got all decked out

and Rob and I headed over to our friends' home for a low key dinner party- it was just what the doctor ordered this year- pure bliss

I didn't see the ball drop this year and I am totally fine with that!

Sunday

Happy New Year!

It was another lazy morning and binging Firefly Lane Season 2 and Starting The Crown Season 5.  Then I headed on over to The Copper Door for the Fab Four's Annual Tradition of NYD Lunch- we missed Cass this year as she was still in Florida but the catching up and laughs were on point!

and we have some beautiful news to share and sad news too....

Kayla and Marshall are expecting!  Baby Kennedy is due in July!  Woohoo :)

Over the holiday week, Marshall's Mom Dawna passed away.  We did not know that she was suffering with ovarian cancer over the last two years and she took a turn for the worse.  She kept it private so as not to burden her family- selfless woman and personal choice but so so hard for Marshall- we will be celebrating her life this week at her services- keep Marshall in your prayers- thank you

Although today is technically a holiday and our firm is closed, I am taking the chance to get organized for the new year and make sure I am ready to rock whatever this year may bring.  Sending you all love, peace, health and prosperity in this new year!  XOXO Holly
