Spring outfit!  As my mother says, I "always rush the seasons,"...well I CANNOT WAIT for Spring- ENOUGH of the winter!!

Our poor little monkey battled a stomach bug Friday and Saturday...but getting her hair done by the lovely Claribel makes her smile :)

Friday Night was the annual F.L.O.W banquet- I had a great time...it was my first one and first year being on the board...F.L.O.W stands for the Friends of the Library of Windham- great group!

Saturday morning, still sick, "The Monk" fights through the bug to do a bang up job in her first ever cheer competition!  Daddy is an AWESOME Cheer Dad ;)

 Saturday night was CJay's benefit...great great time...I personally enjoyed the Wachusett Blueberry Beer ;)

Sunday was the Windham Rec's Annual Daddy Daughter Dance

We still sometimes call it the "Dotty Dance" as that is what Diana first called it as a baby 

Monday night power walk!  6:30pm and still light out!  Woohoo!  Look who just keeps....on....talking

Tuesday was election day- I took 1/2 vacation day to volunteer at the polls and make calls to remind our fellow townspeople to GET OUT AND VOTE!

Didn't go our way but we are a work in progress...

Someone else took some vaca time so we could enjoy a family lunch at BWG

How is everyone feelin' about the Alex and Ani collection?

I am LOVING it...my first ever bracelet was the Young & Strong bracelet made in memory of Bridget; my 2nd one was the Blessed Mother; just topped off my collection with The Starfish,  and some Blue Stone bracelets for color...so sentimental...so me

Daddy and Papa have been truly enjoying the little house projects like replacing our pendant lights over the counter

and nothing beats bedtime stories...

Weekly Gratitude

I am so grateful to work for someone who appreciates the blood, sweat and tears...the integrity...the work ethic..the willingness to help people who reach out to me...and the opportunities we give these people to better their lives...I thank God every day for where I am.

I am thankful that Rob and I are able to give Diana cheerleading...may sound silly but it is an expense but it makes her more happy than anything else and we get such joy from watching her

I am thankful for our WINS group...even though the election did not go our way this year, I have met some amazing people and feel even better about our awesome community

I am thankful for guilty tv pleasures like Smash, Parenthood, Dance Moms....such a great way to decompress and escape reality sometimes ;)

Another Disappointing Vote

We didn't get our new school which means the overcrowding will continue...for now

We didn't get the athletic field we also so desperately need

We didn't get the right person elected onto the school board

To say I am disappointed is an understatement, however,

I will continue to fight for what I know is right....

Continue to fight for our kids until we have what they need and deserve

2013 Daddy Daughter Dance

We ALL had a ball!

I decided, being in our new home this year, we would host some pals before the dance for snacks and pictures and fun

Once the daddies would take off with their little princesses for the big dance, the mommies would hang for "spirits" with me

and so we did....and we all had a great time

A Night for CJay

CJay Strong

Last night, we enjoyed a night out to benefit our friend CJay as he battles lymphoma.  

CJay's family held a small benefit for family members and a few close friends.

It was a ball and they were able to raise money to help the family pay for the crazy medical bills.

CJay is responding well to his chemo treatments and only has three more!  After chemo, he will undergo intense radiation treatment- stay tuned
