Wednesday Hodgepodge on Tuesday!

From this Side of the Pond

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday!  I posted Hodgepodge a day early so I could also participate in Currently.  Anyway, as always, linking up with Joyce HERE and answering her fun questions below...

1. The Winter Olympics kick off on Friday, February 6th...on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you? (1= eh and 10=watching every event all day every day). What's your favorite Winter Olympic sporting event?

I would say a 5?  I am excited and we will catch as much as we can...something definitely to look forward to!   Always love the patriotism with our U.S. athletes!  I am also super excited that these events will be in Italy- woohoo!

2. In other sporting news, the Superbowl (American football's championship game) will be played on Sunday, February 8th. So tell us...what's your superpower?

Ha!  So excited about this Superbowl because our beloved New England Patriots are in it AND Drake Maye is the new hero around here ;)  Anyway...I digress...I guess my superpower is "Balance". I got nothing else but I can balance work and family because that is what I have to do so superpower?  Not sure but I got nothing else ;)

3. Are you a romantic?

Yes...100%...completely...ridiculously...ha!

4. Blue cheese-yay or nay? How about feta? If you said yes to one or both, what's a dish you like that calls for one of these?

I like both- very strong cheeses but they shine in certain dishes like beef with blue cheese and a nice Greek Salad with feta

5. What's more important-doing what you love or loving what you do?

Both!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Valentines Day is approaching...what are you all doing?  Are you celebrating?  Give me the goods!

You nailed your superpower of balancing family/work life! I am impressed each week with this gift you have. I hope it's a great day for you!

I will be watching some of the Winter Olympics and I'm quite looking forward to it.
I have no idea what we are doing for Valentine's Day! I am finding it hard to fit something in around my girls plans. Eesh! I am sure we will do something even if it's just a nice meal at home.

Aww thank you friend!

We are staying in and cooking something special- just not sure what yet! :)

Balance truly is your superpower! Drake Maye is for you guys what Joe Burrow is for us southern Ohio 'Nati fans. It's fun to rally around a team and really good (and let's face it, cute) player. We have no plans yet for Valentine's Day...

Yes so much fun! We are just cooking in and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully we can find a new series or movie too

There's something about having YOUR team in the Super Bowl that is so much more fun! Good luck to your Patriots!

So true! :)

Same level of excitement on the Olympics. I used to be closer to a 10 but once we went to streaming it became much harder to watch the stuff I was really interested in. I have no idea what my super power would be! I don't think we're doing anything special for Valentine's day this year but I did buy all the guys some snacks/chocolates and made some cards (of course).

I think you are so right with balance. I don't know how you do it all, but you make it look fun!

Your guys are the luckiest with your beautiful cards!

Awww glad I make it look fun- sometimes I am just pulling my hair out Tanya!

Cheese and chocolate are my kryptonite ;)

I love feta but blue cheese is a no for me!! Caleb and I have a tradition of getting Papa John's for our Valentine's dinner, and we watch the movie Valentine's Day! We like to dodge the crowds- ha!

Balance is definitely a superpower and a lot of people struggle with this. We typically do not go out on Valentine's Day and like to cook something new to us at home. I think we might make your lobster risotto as I haven't tried it yet : ) I'm traveling on Valentine's Day so we won't be together. We'll probably celebrate on Friday. I do buy goodies for the grands now and that's fun. Have a great day!

LOVE the sounds of that tradition- thanks for the inspiration!

Let me know when you try making the risotto- it is one of our faves!
