Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends! Hope you will join us. Would love to see what you were up to!
Here is what our little snowy New England weekend looked like...
Friday Night
Ahh...Friday...you are always my fave...and this Friday called for Friday Night Pizza Night...the grandparents joined us and then our first WHS Basketball Game of the Season
First Things First- Game Fit Complete With My Senior Button
Meanwhile, over in Hudson, someone was skating her heart out and a few besties showed up to surprise her!
and she won Player Of The Game and was named Captain for Saturday
When we got home, we all crashed except for Diana of course, who headed out with friends and then went to a sleepover.
Saturday
We were up early and headed to Eva's next hockey game. The grandparents were in tow- it was a rough game but they fought hard
Then it was home to relax for a bit. My hairdresser Taylor recommended this show to me so I started it. It is "Tell Me Lies" on Hulu. She explained it was slow to start but definitely picks up at the end of the first season so I am trying to be patient. I did find it slow but I will fight through it :)
Then the four of us made our 2nd attempt to hit the Merrimack Bookstore and this time we were successful! We each got a shirt for Diana's Signing FTW!
Then we enjoyed a lunch together over at The Friendly Toast- can't remember the last time the four of us were able to enjoy a meal together out. We are usually in twos or threes nowadays- it made my heart happy! We got Diana to play Psych with us too and I laughed harder than I have in awhile- so good for the soul
Then it was home to relax again until it was time to take off for our special Saturday night.
We were invited to Mrs. Mullen's 80th Birthday Party at our old studio LDA. We were so happy to be there and were able to reconnect with so many old dance friends. Though we had stressful and heartbreaking times there, the majority of the time was so good. It was our 2nd family and Mrs. Mullen truly helped us raise Diana.
Rob and Eva took off first because she had yet another hockey game. It was a success- huge win! This is their new tradition- hugs and advice before each game :)
Diana and I stayed a bit longer then headed home. I got cozy and crashed and she headed out on a date :)
Sunday
I was up bright and early and headed to mass and then the gym with Lea.
When I headed home, I did the meal planning and then Rob and I did the grocery shopping.
When we got home, he unloaded the car and started putting everything away while Diana and I took off for a trip to Starbucks and a joy ride- my favorite past time :)
Then when we got home, I whipped up an appetizer for a party we would be going to later on. Then it was time to shower and get ready.
Guess what was next? Yup! Another hockey game- it ended up being the last of the weekend- another tough loss
Getting instruction from Coach Frank!
After hockey, Diana headed to work and then the three of us headed over to the party. We all had a blast. Rob and I got to watch the Patriots game with some friends in their basement
and then watch some Christmas Tree burning- so cool
Eva even sledded with her friends!
What a fabulous win! Headed to the AFC Championship Game- woohoo! Gotta love that Drake Maye ;)
When we got home, we crashed but of course, Diana had other plans. She asked for a sleepover and we said sure because the snow was bad and we didn't want her driving around everywhere but then she and her friends proceeded to keep us up half the night- good times.
Happy Monday! Ahhh...and I am not even off today...back to the grind...counting down the hours I can go to bed again ;)
What were you all up to?

What a packed weekend! Congrats to Eva on being player of the game! Hope you can rest soon and hopefully your girls have the day off school to rest today.
Donnie is working today, too :(. I feel ya. I was actually glad that NE won. I wasn't crazy about them when they were super dominant several years ago and though I don't know much about the young QB, I found myself wanting NE to win. Your weekend looks so fun! You did so much and it all looks like a blast. Happy Monday- you got this!!
I always feel like I live vicariously through you and your weekend fun! Your game 'fit was adorable and I can only imagine the fun you'll have watching basketball/cheering and hockey during the coming weeks! ENJOY!
That was a busy weekend! Sounds like lots of fun though. And yes, you make the most of time with whatever kids are home to do things with. Having everyone together is such a treat. It's still my favorite thing. Have a nice week and I hope you get a nap in there somewhere!
What a great weekend! That snow is beautiful. We might get some next weekend...here's to hoping! Happy Monday to you, my friend. xoxo
Thank you Marilyn!
Thank you friend!
Aww thank you :)
That family time is my fave too :)
Wishing you a cozy week friend!
Congrats to Eva d for being "Player of the Game" and becoming captain! Diana looks beautiful in her cheerleader portrait.
Love the ribbons on your senior pin and a GREAT senior poster :) So proud to have both your girls excelling and being recognized for their efforts, right? And love her and Rob’s hugging tradition - kind of like this QB who seeks his mom out before games on the sideline. Happy 80th to Mrs. Mullen - so good to have people like that in our lives. What a BUSY weekend - hope you find time to catch up on sleep this week. Thanks for sharing and the link-up 🙂
How many hours are in a day where you live💗 Has to be more than where I live? You are an incredible example of living life to the fullest and making moments count. It is so fun to follow your family adventures.
What a busy weekend, especially with all the hockey. Tough loss for our Texans, but way to go Patriots!
Your Friday evening sounds wonderful! Fab photos! It looks like lots of fun and Diana really is a star! Well done to Eva for winning Player of the Game! You must be so proud of your girls. It sounds like a really great weekend!
Looks like a great weekend all around. Burning Christmas trees is wild! They catch so fast! Sleepovers are a tricky one when the sleepers don't want to sleep. Glad you could host though! Happy Monday!
That sure was a great weekend! Congratulations to Eva on being voted Captain and player of the game! It’s so fun when the whole family can have a meal together. It definitely gets harder as the kids get older and busier. Our oldest is coming over with his partner on Thursday, and we’re all so excited. We haven’t seen them since Christmas Day!
Wow! What a fun and full weekend. We pretty much just stayed inside because of the snow...I'm a wuss like that.
Aww thank you so much Pat!
Thank you! My best friend helped me make it or pretty much made the whole thing because I am not creative-ha! I love their sweet new tradition :)
You are too kind-thank you so much :)
Peak hockey season here- thanks Tanya- it was an exciting game to watch!
Thank you Kim- very proud of them and their hard work!
I was fascinated watching and the heat they gave off was incredible!
It is challenging with their busy schedules yes! Enjoy your time together Ruth!
I try not to drive in the snowy weather- when i do you should see how slow I go- ha!
Despite living in, and growing up in, Minnesota - I do not like driving in the snow!
I don't blame you!
Looks like a fabulous weekend. Seniors fun during basketball season…love all the family support. You all look fab for the bday party!
