Hi Friends! Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends. If you did too, please linkup with us below!
Before I get to our weekend, I wanted to document a sweet moment from this past week. It is a WHS Tradition for the Senior Cheerleaders to sign a mat before the end of the season...so they did that last week...this is such a special group of girls...they have been through so much together
Now back to the weekend...
Friday Night
It was an awesome quiet and cozy night at home...we grabbed Chinese/Japanese takeout and watched tv...very rare for all four of us to be home with Remi...and it is just what the doctor ordered!
Did you check out the new show on NBC called "Stumble?" Well friends! If you are involved with cheer at any level, this show is for you. It is HYSTERICAL and so DEAD ON...check it out...we did...and we were howling!
Saturday
We were up bright and early and I convinced Rob to hit the rail trail with me and Remi...once we say the words, all bets are off....he just goes crazy and is so very excited to get there!
Rail Trail?
Yes! Rail Trail!
After that, I showered and got ready and met my Football Peeps for Breakfast and Pre-Gaming- such a blast!
It was Kat's Birthday too- got her a little muffin to celebrate but we are taking her to dinner next weekend :)
So a couple of the senior moms convinced me to join the "senior trip" during Feb vacation- several boys and a few of the girls from Diana's class are going to Aruba with their parents so we did it. We booked it for Diana and me- it is part of her Christmas and Birthday presents and her senior trip all in one. I hope we make memories to last a lifetime- I know she will have the time of her life with some of her favorite people :)
Then it was game time! Playoffs here we come! The Jaguars faced off with Concord!
I planned a little surprise for the Senior Cheerleaders. I had little posters made from some photos of them when they were little and surprised them. They had some laughs and then we lined them up for a traditional sappy song :)
It was an AWESOME GAME...the Jags were back! They beat Concord 24-14! We now continue through next week AND I got at least one more FRIDAY NIGHT GAME....woohooo! We are heading back to Pinkerton where the season started...we are giddy :)
After I was done decorating, I got cooking. I made us our Sunday meal which is lunch/dinner and it was a one pot chicken and veggie orzo dish- it was a winner!
Then I made a meal for a friend from our old dance studio. She is facing a terrible cancer diagnosis and I tried to make one day a little easier anyway.
Diana headed to work and Rob and Eva came for the drive with me to drop the meal off. We stopped at the store on the way home to get some ice cream treats then decompressed when we got home.
Someone doesn't believe in personal space ;)
Last night, I got organized for the week and did some blogging. What were you all up to?

Way to go Jags! How fun to get to watch the cheerleaders, er, another football game! The special touches for the seniors were so nice. Your meals all look and sound good. Have a great Monday!
The Starbuck's holiday cups with the boys are so cute. I really don't want to drink from a bear. Yay for Aruba - that was my honeymoon. I saw Stumble advertised and want to watch it!
Thank you friend. I honestly didn't watch the cheerleaders much this weekend- eek! The game was too exciting :)
I don't either! HA! Too funny ;) Aruba is one of my favorite destinations :)
I'm so glad you get another FNL! What a fun weekend. Your upcoming trip to Aruba sounds amazing! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and the cancer diagnosis; it sounds like you can be a bright light in her life. I'm loving the holiday cups right now from the coffee places I frequent!
Thank you- I am so excited Jen! :)
Aww! What a lovely tradition and such a lovely group of girls!
Yum to the takeout, it looks so good!
I love how Remi gets so excited about the rail trail and the posters for the cheerleaders are so cute! What a lovely thing to do!
He cracks me up- he doesn't even bark but he can't catch is breath because he is so excited- ha! :)
Woohoo! Congrats on the win! Those videos of Remi are darling... reminds me of our grandpup, Alli. We don't dare say the word "walk" and she can hardly contain herself! Those childhood photos and the "Never Grow Up" video was so touching, too! Have a good week!
Football season is always a HS highlight! Fall also looks beautiful in your area--it is fast disappearing here, but no snow as yet!
OH that senior trip sounds like so much! Your takeout looks delicious. We got takeout pizza last Friday and I couldn't remember the last time we had had take out. It felt glorious to not have to book but to not have to go anywhere either.
It is so funny how certain words get them all crazy! I am such a sap Laura- the sentimental songs get me every time :)
It really is Pat! Give me a high school football game anytime! Our leaves are falling-pretty soon the trees will be bare and the S word will be making an appearance ;)
Takeout is such a luxury Joanne! Especially for us cooks!
