So I was asked about the teas I drink daily now. It actually happened by accident.
There are these little shops that pop up all over. I learned they are franchises and they are Herbalife distributors. Herbalife offers a host of health products including protein shakes, coffees and healthy teas.
These little shops have gained popularity. When one opened up in nearby Derry, I visited it with Diana and friends and always for a shake.
I eventually tried a tea and was blown away. It gave me the caffeine kick I needed and also included other health benefits like collagen, digestion aide and an immunity boos (all add ons)
When Revitalize opened in our own town of Windham, we started frequenting it more and more.
Then the teas became part of my daily diet and I gave up coffee pretty much completely.
I realized they were pricey though and started asking questions.
You can buy the products from an Herbalife distributor and make your own at home! So that is what I am doing most of the time now. I do love to visit these shops but most of the time, it is my own homemade teas at home.
I have two favorite flavors, "Skittles" and "Princess Peach." I will describe the recipes below and hope you will try them out for yourself.
Skittles
1. Tea Concentrate Packet (raspberry works well for this recipe)
2. Lift Off Packet (extra boost of caffeine)
3. One mini scoop (I think it is equal to about 1/2 teaspoon) of Strawberry Flavor Packet
4. One mini scoop of Grape Flavor Packet
5. Splash of Aloe (aids in digestion)
Now you can also do add-ons so sometimes I will also include
5. One mini scoop of collagen and
6. one mini scoop of immunity booster
You can't just throw everything in the cup though- there is a specific order and process to ensure that the products are dissolving and the end product is a delicious AND pretty tea ;)
So this is the order: Grab a large tea cup, put in your tea, lift off and first flavor (in this case strawberry. Then add any boosters you may be including (i.e. collage, immunity, etc) and fill your cup a little with water and swirl the cup turning it clockwise until all three are dissolved. Then continue with water about 3/4 of the way up in the cup. Add a splash of aloe. Then add ice (ice shavings/Chic Fil A ice are examples of the kind that work best). Then top with the 2nd flavor (in this case grape) and enjoy!
Princess Peach
Follow the same order. I find that peach or lemon tea flavors work best in this recipe. I use the same Tropical Liftoff for this tea. The difference really comes in the flavor packets- I use Peach as the first flavor and then top it off with the second flavor which is Watermelon
Hope this helps- let me know if you give these a try or if you have a favorite little shop near you!
