Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our long weekends- hope you will join us!
First things first...Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Brother Matt! Love you!
It was a wonderful Labor Day Weekend and end to the summer...here is what we were up to...
Friday Night
After work I did some running around for Blackout...picking up and dropping off a raffle basket...collecting some cash raised at a lemonade stand and dropping it off to our treasurer...making a sweatshirt swap...driving around town for this reason makes me so happy...anyway...that night, we hit Tavern In The Square with our besties and then over to the movie theater to attend the 50th Anniversary Screening of Jaws- Rob's and Cass's fave movie of all time....it was a great night...this film never gets old and is amazing on the big screen!
Oh and had to share this post on IG of course...giddy....just giddy...
Saturday
We were up bright and early and Rob and I continued on "Project Homecoming"...we made the most progress in the garage that we have before. He made a couple of trips to the transfer station and then brought two old tvs to Best Buy to dispose of them...next step...power washing and then the final step will be painting...it is looking amazing! (Wish I had taken some before pictures)
Diana and I paid a trip to Nutrition Corner for Shakes and then drove around with the top down.
Later on, she headed to work and the rest of us headed up to Wells Maine to meet my parents and brother at Hobbs so we could celebrate our upcoming birthdays together. My parents treated us to a great dinner and we got some pics by the water :)
Sunday
I was up bright and early and got the grocery shopping done. I unpacked everything at home...threw a recipe in the crock pot for a yummy side dish for that night and served breakfast.
Then Rob and I headed to mass.
When we got back, Diana and I headed to Starbucks for some new fall drinks....drove around with the top down and then hit the rail trail for a walk.
Later on, Eva headed to a pool party with her besties
Diana and I got sucked into a new documentary on Netflix called "Unknown Number- The High School Catfish"- friends? Just shocking and sickening- you should check it out
That night, The Fourniers came over along with Bethany for awhile...we grilled and chilled and it was an awesome time.
Cass gave me my birthday gift...one of my fave scents :)
Monday
We were up bright and early...no matter how hard we try to sleep in...we are just too programmed. It was a nice slow morning though. I got a great start on my September book, "She Didn't See It Coming"...the new thriller by Shari Lapena- one of my favorite authors
Then over coffee, I insisted Rob watch the documentary...so I watched it again with him. When Diana got home from Cat's she finished watching what she had missed and the three of us debriefed- just shocking and sickening.
Later on, we grabbed Starbucks for the girls and Rob got started on power washing the garage while I caught up on blogging.
Oh and check out my new charm...hung it in my Jeep
Then Eva and I headed to the Rail Trail :)
Then Diana requested that the four of us go to Red's for a late lunch/early dinner and not use our phones (after we took our family selfie of course)...she was in the feels and it was nice to spend the QT with my favorite people
We wrapped up our holiday weekend by making S'mores at the Fire Pit happen...first time all summer AND we checked off our last item on our Summer List

Looks like a fun weekend! Your Starbucks drinks sounds so good!
Sounds like it was a great long weekend! I am the same way with sleeping in- every once in a while, I'll sleep in to seven with no alarm but I'm not one of those nine or ten o'clockers! Your dinners out all look so good and the family pics are so good. I hope your brother had a great b-day and yours must be coming up?? Happy Tuesday!
What a nice weekend! I love your dinner outfit! Isn't it nice to have Homecoming as your motivator?
That sounds like such an amazing long weekend. We struggle to sleep in at all too but will laze around in bed longer watching TV and "resting."
What a great long weekend! I love all your celebrating...with your brother and parents, and then with your friends. I know what you mean about being too programmed...I did try my best to sleep in some, but it wasn't as long as I'd have liked. Oh, well! Have a great day, my friend. Happy Tuesday!
Thanks- it really was! I liked it and will probably order it again
Thank you Maria. My brother's birthday is today and mine is tomorrow- close but three years apart!
What a lovely weekend you had! Yesterday, my daughter and I had a lazy day after being with lots of family all weekend... we watched that documentary (shocking) and caught up on The Summer I Turned Pretty. I thought of you when we started watching! Soooo good! Have a great week!
Happy birthday to your brother. My hubs had a birthday yesterday and he grilled his own dinner lol. He loves to grill and we love to eat what he cooks so a win. He would not say no to a dinner in Maine beside the water though. That looks so good! Sounds like you had a nice weekend...enjoy your week!
What a great holiday weekend! Ben and I can't sleep in either no matter how hard we try! HA It's my half brothers birthday today too. Another thing we have in common! HA
Thank you Amy. Yes for sure- we needed that motivator! Ha!
Yes at least we are still resting our bodies right? :)
Thank you my friend :)
Aww are you liking the series? It is soooo summer :)
That is too cute about your hubby grilling for his bday- good man good man!
Soul Sisters :)
Happy birthday, Matt! How fun to see a screening of Jaws for the 50th anniversary. You just can’t beat a dinner on the water. There’s just something so wonderful about that ambiance! I keep seeing that Netflix show pop up! Sounds interesting and crazy. I love that it was Diana’s idea to put the phones away for a family dinner. How sweet is that?! I hope you soaked up all that family time. What a great weekend!
Happy birthday to your brother!
I haven't seen Jaws for years, I think I need to sit my girls down and make them watch it.
It sounds like a lovely meal with your family, I love all of the photos!
I have seen clips of that Unknown Number documentary on TikTok and you have just reminded me to add it to my watch list!
So true about being on the water- nothing better! :)
Yes- very good to watch just so we can keep an eye on our kids and know some of the dangers of texting- lmk if you watch it!
