Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with my partner in crime, Sarah and we are chatting about our holiday weekends! Hope you will join us! I am going back to Wednesday since I love the anticipation of a holiday weekend and it brought be JOY...so here we go...
Wednesday
Diana and I grabbed teas at Nutrition Corner before my work day got started...love all of the patriotic goodness...
Did a couple of miles at the Rail Trail on my lunch break
and that night, I met up with Cass and tried the new Figaro's in town- it was awesome!
Thursday
We were up bright and early and headed straight up to Laurel and Tom's lake house...my patriotic snack mix was in full force ;)
Snapped extra pictures this weekend to capture it all...
Packed up and headed down to the boat!
Ahhh...the lake...
Pure Bliss
and then out of nowhere, I storm blew through and we had to find shelter from the lightening...wasn't in any weather forecast or even on the radar....it was kind of scary....Tom raced us to Wolfeboro and we all got off and sheltered in a restaurant...decided to grab lunch while we were at it. Tom circled around the docks until a slip opened up and then he was able to dock and join us...when it was time to get back on the boat...we had another mishap when Rob fell off the dock...thank God he was ok...just some cuts on his arm...he even saved his phone...Praise God ;)
Ahh....more memories that were made!
After it cleared up, we rode around for a bit longer and then headed back to the house to prep dinner
We enjoyed decompressing after our eventful day!
Friday
Happy Fourth!
We enjoyed a slow morning topped off with the annual golf cart parade...it was the best one yet!
Then we packed up and headed back to the boat again...much more peaceful and chill day with beautiful weather!
Eva started tossing snacks to a duck in the water that she named "Ducky" and he got so comfortable...he ended up jumping on the boat! As you may know, I hate birds, so I was a not a fan of how close he was...eeek! ;)
Such a beautiful day!
Back at the house, we enjoyed some time on the deck and then prepped our annual lobster dinner
What a fourth! Grateful!
Saturday
We headed out first thing and got home to get the laundry done, groceries and prepping for the week!
Then we headed over to Kayla and Marshall's to celebrate Sylvie Lynn turning 2! We celebrated Moana style :)
Later on, Diana headed out to work and I caught up on "And Just Like That" and "America's Sweethearts" and crashed early!
Sunday
We were up bright and early and Rob and I headed to mass.
Then I prepped some things for dinner and while Robby B was doing yard work and the girls were doing their own thing, I headed out to Red's to meet Lea for lunch. She just got back from an epic trip to Greece so we hadn't seen each other and had lots to catch up on
When I got home, there was a surprise for me in our town newspaper...it was official..Diana managed high honors again for her last semester of Junior Year- so proud- it was never easy and she fought through!
Later on, it was pool time
and then time for a perfect summer dinner- Steaks and Salmon- Summer Cavatappi and Blueberry Crumble Bars with Ice Cream for Dessert.
Last night, I started the series on Prime "We Were Liars." I had read the book last year. So far, I am liking the series even more than the book and that usually does not happen!
Before I sign off, I want to wish my wonderful stepson and a very Happy Birthday- the BIG 3-0 today!
He is the greatest boy around!
So...what were you all up to this weekend?

It looks like a great weekend- almost perfect weather except for that storm that blew in. Glad that everyone was ok. The parade looks so fun and all your food looks fantastic. Sylvie is two already- awww, how fun to celebrate with her on her special day! Congrats to Diana. She will be starting her senior year on a good academic note :). Have a great Monday!
I am not fond of birds either! Ok, I think hawks and owls are cool but any others, no thanks. Looks like a great weekend!
I love your patriotic summer sweater! Looks like you had a fabulous weekend. So glad your hubs was not hurt in the dock mishap. It can be so scary because its completely disorienting. I love birds, but would not want them on my boat either. Ducks tried to get on our lily pad a couple of summers ago, and where there are ducks there's duck poop so no thank you! Happy birthday to adorable Sylvie!
Looks like an awesome weekend!!
Wow, what a wonderful 4th of July you had with friends and family.
It looks like a fun weekend away with friends to enjoy the cool water and fun! The lobster made my mouth water--yum!
What a fun weekend spent at the lake. I love the golf-cart parade. So festive! The rest of the weekend looked amazing, too! Congrats to Diana!
It looks like you have been having a great time and what a wonderful weekend! How great to spend it by the lake. The storm sounds awful though, I am glad Rob was OK after his fall.
I love the golf cart parade, how cute and that lobster looks so good!
Aww! What an adorable Moana and happy birthday to her!
Congratulations to Diana and her high honors! You must be so proud!
Wow what a fabulous looking weekend! Crazy how that storm blew in out of nowhere but glad no one was hurt (or not seriously anyway). That golf cart parade looks so cute. We had another boat parade on the lake this year and many went all out decorating.
