Wednesday Hodgepodge

Hi Friends!  It is time for me to link up with Joyce and answer her awesome questions.  This week, there is a summer theme- my fave- let's get to it!

1. When does time pass slowly for you? When does time past quickly for you?

Time typically passes slow for me during the winter months...I think winter is much too long around here...and of course, it passes way too quickly in the summer...sigh

2. Do you have a favorite beach? What's your favorite 'beach' activity? Tell us what we'd find in your beach bag.

Yes...Hampton Beach State Park in Hampton NH...the waves are huge...the coastline is beautiful and it is the perfect destination for me.  You will find a towel, suntan lotion/screen, a speaker, snacks and drinks in my beach bag. My fave beach activity is boogie boarding with my girls- it is thrilling and at the same time, you are working on your tan and don't even know it ;)

3. Your favorite book or movie with a beach setting?

Any books by Elin Hilderbrand or Nancy Thayer

A few faves by Elin are "The Blue Bistro", "28 Summers" and "The Rumor" and a few faves from Nancy are "Summer Light On Nantucket" and "The Summer We Started Over"

4. What's a food you love, but find it's a pain to eat? Is it worth it?

I guess lobster?  It's a lot of work but so worth it!

5.  Do you like roller coasters? What's the best (or worst) roller coaster you've been on?

Nope...not anymore...I was brave for awhile in high school...my friends and I went on the Corkscrew and the Galaxy at Canobie Lake Park

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Reminiscing a lot nowadays...and looking back at summer pics is giving me a pain in my heart...at the same time, I am so glad that I am crazy about taking pics and documenting here because this is my online journal if you will....and it reminds me just how lucky we have been and what a beautiful life we have

Ahh, yes! Winter does seem to go so slowly and summer is over in a flash!
That beach in Hampton does sound amazing!
I have never eaten a full lobster before, it does look like a lot of work to eat!
Aww! I love those old summer photos.

Winter is long in the north. When we lived in Northern NJ we often had remnants of our snow plow pile in the driveway as late as end of May/early June. One of the reasons we moved south : ) Seeing pictures of my girls on the beach when they were small gives me all the feels too. I'm glad there are photos. I agree lobster is worth the trouble. Have a great day!

Love the throwback pictures- I know you know how lucky you are to live as close as you do to the ocean. I'm glad you don't take it for granted :). Your mom looks like a movie star- her hair is always perfect and she has a great presence about her (at least that comes through to me in photos). Have a great day!
