Hello Monday and Hello Christmas Week (December 23, 2024)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday.  I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends.   If you blogged today, grab our graphic above and link back up with us below.

I am going back to Thursday night and working my way forward.....

Thursday

I got out most days on my lunch to hit the rail trail...walking is good therapy for me...helps clear my head

These walks reminded me of the peace and hope my summer walks here gave me

That night it was time for another WHS Varsity Basketball Game- our little fam went to support Diana and enjoy the game-it was very exciting- the Jags lost by one point. The cheerleaders were decked out in their ugly sweaters

Friday

On my lunch, I snuck out to meet the FF for our annual holiday lunch and gift exchange- being surrounded by besties is so good for my soul :)

That night, we threw on our pj's and made Jammie Christmas happen complete with a drive through stop at Chic Fil A

Saturday

It had snowed a little overnight and I convinced Rob and Remi to join me at the Rail Trail...my little Bub LOVED the snow :)

After that, I needed to hit the grocery store for Christmas Eve so Diana tagged along and we stopped at Revitalize for a tea and then got the shopping done.

Then it was time to get her to the gym for her private-she can drive herself now but she likes me to come and watch and I would never argue with that- she is making great progress on her full

That night, Rob took Eva to her hockey game, Diana headed out with a friend and I binged some more One Tree Hill and made us a nice dinner and stopped to visit Grammy and have a chat

Sunday

I went to mass first thing and then met Rob and his Dad at Eva's hockey game.

Diana headed to work.

The rest of the day was spent resting- thinking- and watching One Tree Hill.  After hockey, Eva got to hang with her friend and they spent some time getting festive at the  mall

Last night, we headed to Zoo Lights.  This is a tradition we love to experience with my parents but unfortunately my dad came down with Covid.  My mom had already bought our tickets and made her meatball soup for after so she had us stop at their house first to pick up the tickets and soup- so sad- we made the most of it- just not the same this year

To cap off our weekend, Eva and Remi piled in our bed and we watched one of our faves, The Mistletones...wish we could've convinced Diana to join us but just a tough time right now

What were you all up to?  Wishing you the Merriest Christmas :)

I'm sorry sweet Diana is having such a hard time. I know it's rough, what she's going through, but I'm proud of her that she's trying her best. You did a great job of making the weekend the very best in spite of circumstances that aren't the best! You're such a great mom, my friend.
