Hello Monday and Fall Weekend Recap!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  Happy Holiday Day if you are off doing something fun today...I am working...ha!  Before I dive into my work, though, I wanted to share our little Fall weekend from up here in New England.

Linking up with Tanya, Heather and the Crew HERE

This was the weekend every year that we go to the Milford Pumpkin Festival with my parents....I thought about it all weekend...kept popping up in Facebook memories and the like but we had a great weekend and made some new memories and didn't let it get us down....

Rob went on a golf weekend for Tom's 50th Birthday up at the lake house and had so much fun...Tom is a wonderful friend and I was happy that his guys celebrated him big in a safe way.

While Daddy was away, the girls enjoyed our Fall weekend to the fullest....

Friday Night

Diana and I had a cozy dinner with Laurel and Caden. We call these two "our top shelf kids."  They appreciate fine dining so we took them to a nice steak house called Smythe and Dove in Andover, MA.  Check them out HERE . We got to talk to the owner Marcus Palmer and asked him all about him opening this restaurant during the pandemic...we all agreed that if he can make it through this next year, he will make it through anything.  We told him we were fighting for him...such a great guy...so talented and friendly.

The kids got to catch up and enjoy their "fancy food"...they kill me...

and us moms did too of course ;)

and then went back to Laurel's so Caden could give Diana her belated birthday gift...he picked out the cutest sweatshirt for her and then made a beautiful gift by himself...she loves Ariana Grande and he made these cool print outs for a collage for her room....so thoughtful!

and Laurel and I enjoyed a glass of wine while Theo supervised ;)

Saturday

It felt like such a crazy day...Pidge and I planned to hit Target to find some fun items to BOO some neighborhood friends...so we dropped Diana off at her morning ballet class and hit Starbucks for our "coffee" which took a half hour...it was so slammed...anyone else finding coffee shops slammed right now?  Anyway, Pidge was happy that she got a "coffee"...felt like a rock star...ha!

We got some adorable things at Target for our BOO Buckets- some skeleton notepads and pencils with skeleton eraser tops..fun Halloween stickers....lots of candy...the works.  Mama also picked up some wine and candy for some "Booze Buckets" for the grown ups too.....later on, we had fun assembling the buckets...Pidge was such a big helper...

After this, we picked up Diana from dance, got changed and raced to meet Beth Ann and Ella for lunch at an outdoor pub in town...it was another great time to catch up while the Hubbies/Dads were away...and then it was time to race to the dance studio once again to say Goodbye to our first Artist In Residence- Sterling Baca.  Sterling is a professional from the Pennsylvania Ballet Company and Diana got to take classes with him for the first six weeks this fall.  She learned so much and had such a blast....she will really miss him...

Mrs M saying her Goodbyes too

Diana's post on Instragram...warms my heart

and a funny video per Sterling's request...these two had fun hamming it up in Sterling's contemporary class each week...a little less serious than ballet...

So after that we went home for a bit and then had to bring Diana back at 2:30 for her Nutcracker Rehearsal...yup six times back and forth...we must really love her ;)

Pidge and I went home and chilled for a bit then picked up dinner, picked up Diana and did our BOO's...we even got to see one reaction thanks to our friend Kate...so precious!

What cracks me up in this picture is Ned the dog licking his chops!

After that, we headed home to eat dinner and watch Hubie Halloween on Netflix...have you watched it?  It is so goofy and typical Adam Sandler funny...really enjoyed it...loved the backdrop of Salem MA too...beautiful...great ending to a crazy day!

Sunday

The girls and I joined Papa at mass and then he took them out for breakfast while I went to a Faith Formation meeting to learn how to home school Eva for CCD this year.  Then Daddy got home and took over the taxi responsibilities for both girls and their Nutcracker rehearsals (another day of 6 trips to and from the studio)

Diana and I joined our friends for the Fall Fest at Canobie Lake Park...we were glad we got to do it but it was very different this year for obvious reasons and there were no creepy characters walking around or scary attractions this year...the kids got to enjoy the rides and games (with masks) and the Moms enjoyed some pumpkin beers, snacks and such...beautiful day to be outside and walking around and doing our best to keep up our annual traditions...

Cass's First Ride on a Ferris Wheel

and we wrapped up the night with a delish dinner and a bday cake for Alexis....Daddy and Pidge and all the dads joined us...such a great time

It was a full full Fall weekend...woke up grateful...and just wanted to share...can't wait to see what you all were up to!

Oh my goodness, Holly, your weekend looks like it was so much fun and perfect for FALL!!!!! Love the Boo Buckets you and your girl put together. Wish I lived in your neighborhood so I could have gotten the bucket with some wine in it, LOL! The Fall Festival Sunday looks like it was a blast. So glad it happened with so much being canceled these days. Wishing you a happy new week!!

You can't beat a weekend that ends with time at Canobie Lake Park! We love that place. Watching Hubie Halloween right now.

This looks like such a great Fall weekend, even if it wasn't the weekend you were originally hoping for. Rachel and I watched five Hallmark movies so that basically summed up our weekend! Hahaha!!!

Sounds like a very fun weekend minus all that running around! But you seem to roll with all the kids' activities and still manage to have a lot of fun!
