We just wrapped up one of our favorite weekends of the year. If you have never been, I highly recommend the Newport Wine and Food Festival in Newport RI- always held on the grounds of one of the most beautiful, historic mansions, The Marble House (which sits on the ocean and is a magnificent bonus!)
This was our FIFTH year attending with friends and I was so excited to reconnect with Rob after he had been away all week- it was the perfect reunion!

Friday
The ladies headed down first thing and we met up at the hotel and then immediately headed out to lunch at 22 Bowen. This year, the weather was PERFECT and we got to sit outside. It was beautiful..the lobster rolls and onion rings were amazing and the cocktails were perfection!

After lunch, we walked around and hit the adorable shops.....

Then we grabbed one more cocktail at an outdoor bar before heading back to get ready for dinner

That night, we grabbed a casual and yummy dinner at The Surf Club
and then some of us headed back to crash while others hit a dance club
Saturday Morning
A group of us hit the famous Cliff Walk for a walk to kick our metabolisms up- being proactive for all of the yummy calories we would be consuming later that day ;)
It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been- as I have said many times before here, New England is my favorite and more specifically the ocean and beaches here can't be beat...this confirmed my feelings...truly

After this, we headed back to get ready for the main event
The 2019 Newport Wine and Food Festival- woohoo!
Beth Ann, Lea and I held our spot in line early....and we got silly...nothing else to do for an hour and a half...our friends slowly joined us over the next hour....
Once inside, we made a bee line for "Silver Oak"- they make one of my favorite Cabs of all time!
and then we pretty much sampled great wines and cocktails and munched on the yummiest food around- the food was better than ever this year...we all agreed....
Then we stopped to take some pics of course....
and we slowly made our way outside the mansion as the festival wrapped up...snuck in some more pics on our way....
Then we caught an Uber and headed back to the hotel to hang out....
Matching Sweatsuits were thrown on of course...
and we hung out in the courtyard and listened to tunes until some of us slowly went to bed and others went out for one more dance party....
another wonderful weekend in Newport RI is in the books!

That looks like so much fun! I definitely need to add that to my girls weekend trips! I love your dress - which Lilly dress is it? I am so glad you had a great time!
