Hello Monday (November 11, 2024)

 

I scooted out for lunch with my Mama- she spoiled me and made us a beautiful fall meal- I also picked up two jobs while I was there-no joke-I feel like saying "we are back in the game!" Ha! :)

After work, that night, I met the ladies for dinner at Copper Door to celebrate Kat's  Birthday and then we headed over to the big football game...

 

 

 and it was COLD...first time all season so we really can't complain...Exhibit A "Miss Lea" ha ha!!

and it was an upset...in our favor! Windham won!  Score was 8-7 and they are advancing to the semi-finals next weekend.  Girls are done cheering but they will probably go to the game as will we!  

 

 

 

Lots of running around ensued and we snuck in a family lunch to spend at least a few minutes together this weekend

 

 Then it was time to divide and conquer....

Later on there was hockey...

and baking for the cheer team dinner

Lea, Kat and I went with Diana to the team dinner and crashed pretty early after that...well maybe there was one Hallmark movie ;)

There was organizing to do for the week....Robby B is traveling so I am flying solo here....meals were planned...groceries were ordered....and we made it all happen

Rob and Eva headed to softball....and I headed to the last cheer comp of the season with Lea and Kat and Ally and Tommy met us there :)

The girls did great...didn't place again but wow'd all us parents!

Last night, I had some work to do for real estate and Eva had another hockey game so we divided and conquered once again

Friday Favorites (November 8, 2024)

 

What a great week!  Always glad to see Friday though...we get a bonus night of Friday Night Lights tonight too...not sure how we made playoffs but we did and the mamas and I are psyched to be able to see the girls cheer and the boys play at one more game and of course an excuse for a fun dinner before :)

A failure or rejection you are grateful for

 

I constantly feel rejection at work both internally and externally...has been happening over the last several years and as frustrating as it is sometimes, it has truly helped to make me stronger...show more grit and prepare me for when I am running my own firm in the future...I have learned what I need and want...the kinds of people I would hire and certainly not hire...and most importantly the rejection has taught me about business in general and not taking things personally

I know I have said it several times before but it has to be said again...the incredible Fall weather we are having here in New England...it is perfection!!!  More time spent outside...more motivation to get out and move...and more time with open windows...crisp mornings...warm afternoons...just love it!

 

 

 

Looking Forward To

 

 All of the November traditions surrounding Thanksgiving and the following weekend- our Thanksgiving Eve Party with Friends and Fam- Breakfast and The Turkey Trot with the Kids- Hosting Our Parents for Thanksgiving Dinner- Black Friday with Besties and a Weekend of Christmas Decorating (in between hockey games of course)...looking forward to it all!
