Friday Favorites (November 10, 2023) Homecoming Edition

 

I am dedicating today's Friday Favorites to my very favorite thing this week and that is Diana's Homecoming!

 

First off, she has been saving for several months so she could get hair extensions.  She has truly learned the value of a dollar and I am so proud of her and all of her babysitting jobs.  She is getting requested back by different families in town and friends have started to hire her as well.  She saved up every darn cent!

 

So on Thursday before getting dressed and primped, my hairdresser Taylor made the magic happen and she was SO EXCITED...she was squealing in the car after

 

 

 

 Then last night it was time to primp and I arranged for Ally to come and surprise her (and maybe help me paint her nails and toes because I can be clumsy/sloppy-ha!)

I was only allowed to snag a few pics before she was out to meet up with friends and dance the night away...so this is all I got but it was worth it :)

HOCO 23 in the books!  Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Friday Favorites (November 3, 2023)

 

Hi Friends and Happy Friday.  Before we get to Friday Favorites, I wanted to use this platform to share some sadness in my heart.

First, the Lewiston, Maine mass shooting.  So close to home.  So very tragic and scary and probably could've been prevented which is the worst part. Praying hard for these families

Secondly, Matthew Perry.  I know we tend to put stars on a pedestal but I grew up with Matthew Perry and always loved his acting and comedic timing.  I recently read his memoir and was so inspired by his story.  It was brutal to read about his battles with addiction and also fascinating to read about his rise to fame and the work it takes to audition and get noticed.  What I was most impressed with, however, was his desire to help people throughout his life.  He was a good egg and beautiful soul. R.I.P.

Did you read the book by Shari Lapena?  It was SO GOOD.  She is one of my favorite suspense authors and guess what?  They made a series from this book...can't wait for it to come out!

Candlelight: A Tribute To Taylor Swift

Last night, a few of us took Mary out for her birthday.  We were going to celebrate Kelly's birthday too but her and daughter have been sick so she had to miss out.  We went to this really cool little theater in nearby Manchester called The Rex Theater and saw a Taylor Swift Tribute Show.  The group is called Candlelight and it is a string quartet that truly performs in candlelight.  It was so very cool.

We were only allowed to film the final song which happened to be one of my very faves of all time- Shake It Off.  Truly reminded me of an old friend who broke my heart but I miss all the time...well anyway...check it out!

Halloween 2023!

 Hi Friends!  Hope you all had a great Halloween!  We sure did.  Here is what it looked like....

 

 On my lunch break, I got to help out in Eva's Classroom for her Halloween Party- I got a couple of crafts and ran a station- the kids were so cute :)

This was the first year Diana didn't go Trick Or Treating...made me kind of sad...so she stayed home to do homework, snuggle with Remi and watch Dancing With The Stars :)

 

Seeds were roasted

 Candy is out!

Rob, Eva and I headed over to the Callahan's and this year the Dads were awesome and took the kids Trick Or Treating while the Moms hung out with Kary, stayed warm and chatted- it was a great night.
