Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Sarah is away so I am holding down the fort! Let's chat about our weekends shall we?
Friday Night
We headed up to Copper Door for a fun dinner...
then headed over to Grappone Stadium at St. Anselm College to watch Diana cheer in the 14th Annual CHaD Football Game to benefit Dartmouth Hitchcock Children's Hospital!
My friends from our Blackout Board were representing!
Diana was chosen as one of the all star cheerleaders along with her teammate and bestie Maddy. Four of our football players were also chosen to play in the game- Rob, Noah, Liam and Brady. Windham was well represented!
Our Guys
The night started out beautifully but then a crazy thunderstorm blew through and we had a game delay.
We caught a rainbow after :)
They were able to start the game back up and we got great weather back...for awhile anyway...then it was raining hard...they continued playing...but right in time for halftime and the girls to do their big routine (after practicing for four hours every night for a week) they went out to do the dance and cheer portion but they couldn't tumble or stunt for safety purposes. I felt so bad for them but we were still so proud of our girl and she had an absolute blast cheering again and getting to know cheerleaders from all of Eastern NH!
East (Our Team) came up short but it was such an amazing experience for the kids!
When we got home, we all crashed hard!
Saturday
Rob, Eva and Papa took off first thing for Connecticut for a softball tournament. Diana and I slept in a bit then headed to Starbucks and had breakfast outside.
Then we hit the mall so I could pick up some soap for her for college and grab a couple of things for us.
Meanwhile, in Connecticut
Then we chilled- I finished my book and took care of Remi.
Later on, we headed to Noah's Grad Party which was amazing
Kayla, Marshall and Sylvie actually came because Marshall knows Shelley and Taylor from the gym!
and then Diana and I headed to Ella's Grad Party down in Lexington MA where her dad lives. It was such a beautiful party!
The girls later changed for their "Nantucket Themed" Party and they were ready to hang with their guys ;)
I got home around 10. Diana stayed over with her besties.
I crashed when I got home- I was tired but couldn't fall asleep because I was alone (with Remi) and he protected me but I'm not used to being alone alone....I eventually drifted off
Sunday
It was just Remi and me- we slept in ;) Then I drank my tea and watched Greys- from the beginning- not sure what inspired me to start this series from the beginning and not sure I will get through it all but watched it/had it on the backgrounds as I blogged and surfed. I then headed to mass. When I got home, Diana was home so we rode with the top down and got some teas (extra caffeine was needed for me today)
Rob and his Dad headed back home while Eva stayed to play more softball. Our friends would be taking her to a cookout and bringing her home later.
The mom takes the BEST pics and sent me these great ones
Rob and I headed to pick up Tom and Laurel. They took us to the Sox Yanks game! Woohoo! Friends? It was the best game I have ever been too- the Sox actually swept the series!
Snapped this pic before heading in- I am a die hard Red Sox Fan but I love me some Aaron Judge #thejudge. Unfortunately he is injured right now so we couldn't observe his magic ;)
They had some of the Female Olympic Hockey Players there on the field and throwing out the first pitch- we sent the pics to Pidge and she was so jealous- ha!!
It was the BEST game I ever been too! So exciting- so close- and so contentious- some Yankee Fans got kicked out so it was poetic justice ;)
A Little Sweet Caroline for ya!
and as Tessie will tell ya, it was a clean sweep- Sox won all games in the 4 game series- woohoo!!!
It was a wonderful summer weekend!

Whew! What a full and fun weekend, girl! I always need a nap after I read about all that you squeeze in! The girls look so cute and happy!
Thanks Amy- ha ha! I actually would have to agree with you today- just a little tired!
Another fun fill FULL weekend! The girls look so cute out there cheering- too bad about the half time rain but it looks like they were still able to do some stunts. The night by the end was so pretty! Great softball pics- looks like a blast in Connecticut. The grad parties look fun and what an amazing time at the baseball game. My mom was a big Boston Red Sox fan (she LOVED Ted Williams) and I've always liked them for that reason. Happy Monday!
Such a bummer that the weather interfered with their 1/2 time show! It sounds like the whole family had a really packed and fun weekend.
That dinner does look good on Friday evening and how great to see Diana cheer. It looks like a great night, apart from the thunderstorm! That's a shame the girls couldn't do their big routine but it looks like they all had a great time! The grad parties all sound fantastic and baseball game too!
Aww that's awesome Maria! Nothing more American than baseball right? :)
Yes pretty much Joanne!
Wow! What a busy weekend! I'm sorry to hear that the weather interferred with the cheerleading half time show, but I'm sure they all enjoyed participating together for the fundraiser. I always wished I could have played softball--it sadly wasn't popular for girls when I was young. I loved the Mets growing up as a New Yorker, but my husband is a big Yankee fan and he was not happy with all their losses lately..lol
It's a shame the weather caused plans to change, but it looks like a lot of fun in spite of that. Sounds like a great summer weekend. I love to go to a baseball game. I'm a Phillies fan and they are currently on fire : ) My grandsons are disappointed as they're big Braves fan, but once a Philly always a Philly. We don't like the Yankees either!
Yes they definitely still had fun Kim and made the most of it!
Ha ha! That is too funny Pat. One of our friends is a Yankees fan too and he was not pleased ;)
So glad we have that in common Joyce!
Sounds like a very busy and fun weekend! :)
It really was Tanya!
