Friday Favorites (June 19, 2026)

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!  I can't even believe it has already been a week since Diana graduated...this week of getting back into the swing of things and exhaling has proved to be exhausting...ha!  Or maybe it was all of the activity with our adrenaline carrying us that finally caught up to us?  Either way...happy to see the weekend!  Here are a few recent faves...

Eva

She crushed 6th grade!  As she wrapped up school, she managed to balance it all: her school work, hockey, softball and a social life.  She is our Easy Kid and as long as we let her go go go...she doesn't complain :) I can't believe she is done with elementary school!

and...I can't believe she will be in middle school in August!  Eek!

Diana

Still living off that grad high...kind of depressed that school is over...she said she loved high school so much and wish she could go more...guess that is a good sign?  She completed her orientation at Merrimack and she is keeping busy working...working out for cheer and socializing of course...love the pics that were sent to me by other parents from this exciting time...and some flashbacks :)

Cooking

I always love it...it's therapeutic for me and a way for me to be creative...even during crazy busy times...these are some pineapple chicken tacos I whipped up during grad week...yum!

Rail Trail

Ahhh....best way to decompress while getting my steps in...and I actually had some company one day this week :)

Popcorn Favors

They were a big hit at Diana's Party and I found this pic in my camera roll...glad I did..disappointed that I forgot to capture all of my sentimental work.  We had pink and yellow popcorn bags (half looked like this with strawberry popcorn) and the other half had bags that read "Thanks for Popping By- Diana Class of 2026" with butter popcorn and caramel popcorn. Our theme was Pink and Gold.

This reminded me to share a post I created for Instagram... a then and now if you will....sending her off to kindergarten and now we will be sending her off to college...in the blink of an eye...

It sounds like a good week- that feeling of a post big weekend does extend to the week. I guess adrenaline and all the feels don't go away when the weekend ends :). I wonder if others took pictures of some of the things you didn't get pictures of- maybe ask your parents or brother or friends? I know that I sometimes take pictures of neat decor and/or food at events so maybe there are pictures of the party that just aren't on your camera roll? I hope you have a great weekend!

Good idea Maria!

So good you could get outside and also still manage some cooking as you catch up after graduation. I hope this weekend brings some time for relaxation without hosting. I love a flavored popcorn, so those bags are so cute!

It has been such a busy few weeks for you, no wonder you are worn out.
Well done to Ava with 6th grade and I am glad Diana's orientation at Merrimack went well. What fab photos of both your girls.
Those pineapple chicken tacos look so good and the popcorn bags are so cute!

Wow I'm surprised 6th grade is still part of the elementary school. Pretty much all of our schools 5-8th is middle school. It looks like a lovely week for you all and much more restful now that all the "big" moments are momentarily over.
