2. Astronaut Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame passed away this past Thursday. Are you interested in outer space and what's happening today in terms of space exploration? If space travel became common in your lifetime would you go? How do you personally relate to the idea of exploring something vast and mysterious...does the idea excite you, intimidate you, or something else?
This question certainly is not for me...not interested at all
3. Describe your communication style in three words.
Transparent- Open- Bold
4. Do you have a favorite cookbook? A favorite celebrity chef? Do you watch any cooking shows on TV?
I love to cook and I am often inspired by famous chefs on the Food Network or the Cooking Channel- cooking for me can be good therapy and it is also a way I show my love for people. Some of my favorite chefs are Tyler Florence, Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray and Giada DeLaurentis...I actually just started following this great lady on the IG too- 7KidsKitchen- no joke-she has 7 kids and cooks the best meals-she inspires me to get my two picky girls to eat my dinners ;)
5. As a child did you have any back to school traditions? If so, did you carry on those same traditions with your own children? Do you have any back to school traditions you've started on your own?
6. Insert your own random thought here.
In the blink of an eye...
This is the last fall that Diana will be here for school. It still doesn't feel real. Next year, she will be starting school on her own...with no chalk board pics...and no kiss on the cheek to wish her luck...I am fine...everything's fine...

The golf sounds like so much fun and I don't have much interest in space either.
I miss the whole back to school thing now that my girls are older. I used to love shopping for school supplies. I hope it is a great school year for you all.
Thank you Kim!
Finally someone who enjoys golf here today! I love watching and am sure I'd enjoy playing, but I'm not dedicated enough to make it a hobby. Such a sweet picture of how the years do fly. Enjoy this special one with your senior!
Golf seems like a great way to get in steps and have fun along the way. Alyssa works at a golf course and loves the atmosphere of the place. Your back to school traditions all sound fun and special- love how you carried on your childhood traditions. That pic from 1979 is great as are the other throwback pics! There will be so much to enjoy this upcoming school year for you guys :). You got this, mama!
You should give it a shot Joyce- I bet you would enjoy it!
Thank you friend :)
I remember going back to school shopping for clothes and Trapper Keepers/notebooks but that's about all I remember doing. I tried to keep that tradition going with my boys but once we began homeschooling everything kind of went with it since we had no need for back to school shopping or getting up early... or heck, even getting dressed! Most days my boys asked to do school in their pj's.
Such a different world!
