Hi Friends! I am joining the ladies HERE for their fun linkup and this month we are talking about the unique things about where we live- so fun- let's get to it!
We live in a great little (but growing) town in Southern New Hampshire. It is a beautiful, suburban town that boasts an excellent school system and quiet neighborhoods.
What I find the most unique about where we live is how easy and quick it is to get to....
The Ocean (40 minute drive)
The Lakes (one hour, fifteen minute drive)
The City/Cities
Portsmouth, NH (40 minute drive)
Boston, MA (40 minute drive)
Portland Maine (1 hour drive)
and how close we are to some of the best hospitals in the U.S (40 minute drive)
as well as some of the best Colleges and Universities in the U.S as well
Harvard University (40 minute drive)
Dartmouth University (1 hour, 30 minute drive)
Brown University (1 hour, 30 minute drive)
We also boast....
Great Restaurants, Awesome Entertainment Venues
and State Parks
in general, New England's Finest!
In our town of Windham, we have a historical castle, a beautiful church that we love, the famous Rail Trail that I always write about, Griffin Park and some fun little watering holes!
Grateful to live where we do...cherish this town and being able to raise our girls here!

I love reading about your comings and goings in NH! You are so fortunate to be close to one of the most beautiful natural features ever- the ocean- as well as amazing cities and all the sites in them. Thanks for sharing about your area :).
Holly, everything about this sounds like a wonderful place to live! And you get a fall foilage! I really hope to explore the NE area again. Other than NYC, it has been years since I have been to the NE area. Have a great day.
Where you live sounds like a fantastic place to raise a family. It sounds like you have everything you need and want nearby. Those beaches look amazing!
Wow! Seems like you have it all nearby... and beautiful fall weather, too! Definitely an area I'd love to visit!
I really want to visit your area some day!! I would love to live 40 minutes from the beach!!
I was thinking yesterday that I neglected to mention anything about the colleges and universities-- not only do we have some really famous ones but we have SO MANY of them! Worcester alone has something like 9 of them. I haven't been to Lake Winnipesaukee or Hampton beach in years.
