Hello Monday (September 16, 2024)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I am here with Sarah and we are sharing about our weekends.  So glad you stopped by!

Here is what ours looked like...

Friday

Someone was game day ready!  The cheerleaders had to wear their special practice uniform to school- someone was pretending to be so chill but we could see how really excited she was ;)

After the girls were off to school, Rob and I snuck in a quick date walk before our work days started

That night, Rob and Eva headed to a hockey tournament and I headed down to Malden Catholic with Lea and friends.  We watched the girls cheer and a very exciting football game.

The Jaguars came up short 28-13 but it was such an exciting game and I got to hug our old Athletic Director and Football Coach Bill.

I also bumped into a college love who was there cheering is son on Malden Catholic- oh when you least expect it, people just pop back into your life- ha!

My parents joined us too which is just SO FUN...and someone else made the trip down to Malden before heading to his workout class- these two are the sweetest!

Such a great night despite the loss!

Saturday

We were up bright and early getting things done.  Then Rob and Eva headed to more hockey games for her tournament.

I took Diana to Revitalize not only to get tea BUT to start training for her new job!  She starts in October but is getting some training under her belt this month.

This is one of the Jess's who owns the shop- we just love them!

While Diana was training, I headed to WHS to catch some of the JV football game and especially Lea's son Brooks- they were dynamite and actually beat Malden Catholic- woohoo!

We were razzing our friend Dennis who does the music/dj'ing- the songs he was playing were cracking us up

Meanwhile at the hockey rink, someone couldn't stay out of the penalty box- HA~  She really kills me ;)

The Cyclones were on fire- they won the whole tournament and I guess, as a result, they get to play in a higher division this year-woot woot!

That night, Rob and I headed out to dinner with Bethany and Drew and had a great night!

Sunday

Rob and Eva were off to the last hockey games of the weekend and then a softball game.

Diana and I headed to Starbucks for a little date

Then I dropped her at home so she could do her homework.  I headed to WHS for Blackout Tee Shirt Sorting Day- I was able to get 3 good hours of work in before I had to take off

The team finished up yesterday afternoon.  I headed to Clark's celebration of life and all I can say is that was a beautiful afternoon.  Jeff and his sister Kath did such a wonderful job honoring their dad- it was the tribute he would've asked for

Marblehead is such a beautiful town and I will never forget how Clark would take us on walking tours and narrate for us.  He was one in a million

When I got home, the girls were so excited by a surprise from "Auntie Janie"...we had to send her a photo of course

Then we all enjoyed a family dinner- Robby B cooked for us and it was great to regroup and decompress together after a busy fall weekend.  What were you all up to?

Trader Joe's Fall Haul 2024

Hi Friends!  Thanks for stopping by.  This weekend I had the luxury of sneaking in a quick trip to Trader Joe's.  Once Eva's hockey game was over, I had some time to kill before my open house and all three places are in the same area here in NH so I was happy to head to one of my favorite places.

I stocked up on some fall goodies and I am going to share them with you today.

I think the theme this time was "fall fun"...I'm thinking a night with besties with wine and snacks or when I may be putting together a charcuterie for a fall get together...anyway, I digress.  Here is what I snagged

 Pepper Jelly

One of the easiest and yummies apps to whip up is as follows: Put a brick of cream cheese on a platter.  Top it with one jar of pepper jelly.  Serve with crackers- delish and perfect for fall

Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps

They have different flavors of these crackers every season but the pumpkin ones are always my fave in the fall- just the right amount of crunch, spiciness and sweetness!

Stilton with Apple and Pear

and I thought this cheese sounded the like the perfect accompaniment and a great flavor for fall

Maple Spiced Mixed Nuts

Oh this gem sounds like the perfect addition to any fall charcuterie

Check out the goodies in this mixture- rosemary pecans, pepitas, almonds and sweetened cranberries- yes please!

Pepita Salsa

and speaking of pepitas, I thought this salsa would be the perfect accompaniment to the famous Fall Leaf Tortilla Chips

These chips are loved by all- adults and kids alike!

Wine

and to go with these lovely little apps and snacks, you can always score dynamite deals on wine there.  I snagged two bottles and they were $7.99 each!

First a great, buttery Chardonnay that I have loved before

Churn

and our fave Pinot Noir

Meiomi

Harvest Chocolates

and if you are looking for dessert, these little chocolates look so pretty on a board or platter or whatever- they are so pretty and festive and delish too!

Organic Yogurt Smoothies

and Eva demanded the TJ's smoothies again so I grabbed a little pack- she loves having these with breakfast

So nice little haul..there were a few old favorites I didn't see but might check for once more this fall like the Cornbread Crisps, Harvest Salsa, Cinnamon Toscano Cheese and the Pumpkin Ravioli :)  What have you been snagging at TJ's lately?  Entertain me please :)
