Lea's 50th Birthday Weekend and Hello Monday!

Hi Friends!  I am coming off an incredible weekend.  We celebrated my bestie Lea's 50th Birthday and we ended up being able to celebrate it mostly normally!

Here is what the weekend looked like...

Friday

I took the day off and we made Lea's wish come true...we headed up to Wentworth By The Sea in New Castle NH...she wanted her three besties with her on Friday.  The weather was yucky but we didn't let it stop our fun....

We checked in and got settled in our rooms and then headed downstairs for lunch...we splurged and got the lobster rolls and they were amazing!

The Birthday Girl!

Then I was able to get a sneak peak of the room we would be having Lea's party in the following night...after speaking with the manager and seeing the room...my nerves were calmed and I was SO EXCITED at how beautiful it was!

and then we chilled in the hotel for a bit and Debbie came up to meet us....we got changed and freshened up and then headed into downtown Portsmouth for dinner at Martingale Wharf- one of our faves!

Saturday

We woke up bright and early...Lisa and I were very excited...Lea was excited BUT nervous too...she hates being the center of attention....she brought us some moisturizing masks so we had fun playing with those ;)

Then we headed downstairs for a great breakfast....Lea and her must have "unsweetened iced tea!"

Check out her cup...I scored it on Amazon...it says "Not A Day Over Fabulous!" LOVE

Then we headed upstairs to shower and get ready for the day....Lea started educating us on Snapchat filters so we had a little fun with those...

Then our plan was to Uber into downtown Portsmouth again to meet everyone for lunch BUT due to COVID Ubers are tough to come by as are cabs...so we ended up driving in...only a two mile drive so we still got there on time!  It was so fun to start welcoming Lea's friends and we had a great lunch with everyone at another fave, Poco's Cantina....

and more Snapchat Filter Fun....

After lunch, we walked around and hit some of the cute little shops....so much fun!  Then it was time to head back to the hotel and get ready for the big bash!

Lisa and I rushed to get ready first so we could head on down and set up the room...we kept getting more and more excited as we decorated and as the cakes were brought in...everything looked so great!

The Louis Vuitton Cake was made by Hannah's Bakery and Cafe in Salem NH and the Chocolate Ganache Cake was made by Sugar N Spice Bakery in Windham NH- highly recommend both!

The Party Planners!

We had some charcuterie boards and garlic knots on the tables for people to snack on when they were having a cocktail...

The Birthday Girl- so gorgeous!

The Gang's All Here!

Lisa made the cutest favors with the place cards...

There was lots of mingling and catching up and LOTS of selfies too ;)

There were toasts and roasts....don't like myself on film so you want see mine but you will see a few others below...

and then we enjoyed our dinners....the food was amazing as always!

Lea's friends Tom and Heather made her a special bday video...it was a real tear jerker!

Then it was Lea's time to speak....

and time for Happy Birthday.....

As everyone was digging into the two cakes...a couple of New England Patriots, who were having a private party in the next room over, joined us for some pics and fun...their handler wouldn't let them stay long but we had some laughs...Robby B recognized one of them as Chase Winovich...he is known to love Portsmouth!

Then it was time for presents and the fave gift was her new Louis Vuitton scarf...Lisa was trying to steal it ;)

Then we enjoyed a little After Party at a townhouse that some of the girls were staying in on property....

Sunday

Tired and worn out but still had to grab a goodbye breakfast and EXTRA Iced Tea for Miss Thing

and she suckered me into doing Power Yoga that afternoon so once I got home and unpacked, I had to run out again but it was worth it...got to see our brand new gym....and it is amazing!

Ended up meeting up with some other friends who had the same idea  :)

and the new Yoga Room is beautiful!

So that's a wrap!  So happy that Lea had such a wonderful weekend...it has been a tough year for all of us but hers was exceptionally tough with her Mom's battle with cancer, her husband's heart surgery and some disappointing relationships....she truly celebrated and unwound this weekend and I was so so happy and grateful to help make that happen!

Friends?  It was so surreal all weekend long too.  It was the first time many of the group had been out and about with a group of people.  NH is loosening some restrictions so we could thoroughly enjoy each other and catch up and it was the most fun many of have had in a long time- just grateful!
