6th Annual Wolverines Jaguars Day!

On Saturday, after partying and celebrating Rob on Friday night, we got up and got geared up for the 6th Annual Wolverines Jaguars Day.  Even though it was rainy and I was exhausted, I had to rally for my little team.

I am glad I did because they had a ball.  We set up a tent for tailgating and brought doughnuts and hot chocolate.

The girls loved marching onto the field with the high school cheerleaders and also enjoyed cheering with them for the first half of the game.

I snapped a few pix!

Show and Tell Tuesday: My Scary Story!

So today, as I link up with Andrea HERE,
I am sharing my "scary story/stories"

First I decided to cover something that scared me as a child.  Have you ever seen Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow?  Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman?
Friends, it still gives me shivers now and it is a cartoon!
My Dad and I watched it every Halloween season growing up.
They also played it for us kids at my elementary school.
There was nothing like it!
Even though I was scared, I couldn't look away!
Check out a snippet HERE

Next, growing up, my brother got me scared by introducing the movie Halloween to me.  Just the song alone sends chills up my spine.
Check it out HERE

and now, as an adult, even little things scare me.  How does that happen?  I guess I am always worried about my kids.  I put myself in their shoes and think, Oh my God, this is petrifying!  Ha ha!!
Any horror movie scares me but I think the ones that are realistic take the cake.
I can't watch Amityville Horror or The Exorcist anymore- they are just too terrifying.
Something that scares me but I keep watching, when I have extra time (those hours are few and far between) is Pretty Little Liars.  That is a fun, spooky show to watch in the fall.

There ya have it- my scary stories OR the scary entertainment that has touched me!

Rob's Surprise 50th!

Ahhh!!!  I am married to a 50 year old!  Ha ha!!
Seriously though friends, I pulled it off and I can't believe I did.  You know it has been a crazy fall and to add some more excitement, I decided to throw Rob a surprise 50th!  I couldn't let this milestone go by without a big celebration!

If you have been reading for awhile, you know that Blackwater Grill in Salem NH is my favorite go-to place for functions.  Christian Breen, the owner, always puts together such wonderful events.  This time, he outdid himself.

We had a lovely cocktail party full of amazing apps.  Rob's band came to play and all of our closest friends and family were there to celebrate.  He had no clue. I thought he may know something was up a few weeks ago but during the days leading up to the event I knew he didn't.

He didn't know until Evan from BWG told him, Matt and Joe that the restaurant was full and they were seating downstairs...he said then he knew!  Just so glad he didn't know until then.  It was so much fun!!

There were so many highlights but everyone agreed the birthday video that the kiddos put together with the professional help of "Aaron James Sanchez" took the cake.  It was beautiful, sentimental and even funny.

After the video the guests enjoyed rockin' out to the band and Robby B was more than happy to take his place at the microphone.

We had a blast.  Happy 50th babe- you are my one and only true love and I will celebrate you for all the days of my life.
