Hi Friends! I am dropping by today to let you know that Thursday is Monthly Musings with Patty and me! This month we are talking about all the ways we show LOVE!
We will be answering the questions below...
Hope you will be back here on Thursday to join us!
Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends. Hope you will join us!
We had a really fun little winter weekend in these parts...here is what it looked like...
Friday Night
Zach and Zoe were in town and joined us for Friday Night Pizza Night and then we all headed up to the high school basketball game- it was senior night and so fun to watch-can't believe we will be here in one short year!
Anyway, my parents and brother met us there as well as Kayla, Marshall, Baby Sylvie and Ally...we had our whole family which made it extra fun...one of Eva's friends joined us too!
Windham won again which always makes it so much fun AND the cheerleaders performed their comp routine at half time-we had a blast!
Saturday
I was up bright and early for a waxing appointment or what I consider a necessary evil ;)
Then Diana and I hit up Revitalize for our Morning Teas
Then Diana headed to meet her team to prep for their comp and I headed to Eva's 1st hockey game of the weekend
Zach was able to make it too!
After that, I drove straight up to Concord and to Diana's Cheer Comp- I was so proud of our girls- they placed 3rd- they keep getting better every week!
Eva played in another hockey game and we all met up at home. Rob and I headed out for a date night to celebrate his new job! My parents had given us a gift card to Tuscan Kitchen for Christmas so we thought it would be the perfect excuse to use it!
The girls stayed home with some friends and I made sure they were all well fed before we headed out
We had a great night!
Sunday
I was up at the crack of dawn- no joke! I had a 6:15 massage appointment- ha! It was worth getting up early for sure :) Then I met my Father In Law at mass.
Then it was time to get organized for our week- meal planning and grocery ordering and I also enjoyed "Dolce Vita"- the cute romance movie on Netflix that everyone is talking about.
Then it was time for more hockey of course! Diana worked all day
Eva had one last hockey game last night for the Middle School and Rob took her to that while I crashed early! I was tired from all of the excitement and finally exhaling. What were you all up to?
The girls are on February Break this week and we have an amazing long weekend planned thanks to our parents :) Stay tuned!
I am joining Jennifer for her fun linkup where we share Four Somethings. This month, we are sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of.
So here we go...
Loved
Teas and The Rail Trail- Apparently every time of the year now! Loving this road to health- body and mind!
Learned
So much thanks to this book I am reading for Book Club...remembering to put some of these things to practice that will help my life become easier for sure
Went Well
Bible Study- almost two months in and going well!
Let Go Of
Pictures on my phone- trying to clean it up and help my storage and putting some photos in organized folders in Dropbox is helping for sure!
My very first and ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of our week is that Robby B got a new job!! It will be his first time stepping out of software sales....well the first time in 18 years! He is stepping into my world of staffing! He will be working in medical staffing- selling into hospitals and placing doctors and nurses- so excited for him and grateful to our friend Tom for helping to make this happen for him- we truly believe this will be the long term place for him that we all needed! Thank you for all of your prayers and support- times like these remind me how special this community is and how I met some great friends through this blogging world- grateful for YOU!
MEMEs
Adam Sandler Day!
It was another spirit week at Eva's school this week- each day they had a different theme. We thought she nailed Adam Sandler day- what do you think?
Surprise Visit from Zach!
He came home and surprised us so Eva took full advantage and made sure they got to play some Playstation together :) We are pumped he will be able to join us for Friday Night Pizza Night and Basketball too!
Sunreaders
Genius if you ask me...now I will be able to read a book on my iPad outside in the sun and on the beach and you get it. You can find these HERE
Thursday Night With My Girl
Impromptu Girls Night- Mexican and then Tumbling Private- Getting Closer To Getting Her Full!
Hi Friends and Happy Hump Day! Today I am linking up with Joyce for her fun Hodgepodge Link Up! We have a President's Day Theme happening this week - love it! Let's get to it...
Many of our earliest presidents created words or expressions widely used today. Teddy Roosevelt is credited with mollycoddle, pack rat, frazzle, and loose cannon...which of those words/phrases currently relates to your life in some way?
I guess I would have to say "loose cannon"...I think I have used this phrase mostly in work which is kind of funny...we are in the profession of judging people unfortunately....and I have used this phrase about folks who have made me a bit nervous...ha!
2.
Have you visited many (or any) of the US Presidents homes, monuments,
libraries or related sites? If so what's been your favorite? Are there
any you particularly want to see? Here's a link to presidential sites
listed by state which is kind of fun to read-Presidential Places by State. And since several bloggers who participate in the HP each week live outside the US, here's a link to Presidential Places Outside the US. Have you seen any of those?
Born and bred in New England here! So yes the Kennedys are a big deal here. I have visited the Kennedy Library in Dorchester/Boston twice in my life. Once my parents took my brother and I when we were young and then I took the girls during spring break a few years ago. It is an amazing place! It is so fun to look at JFK growing up...seeing his old report cards (Hello a D in history!) Then seeing all of the wonderful work he did for our country. We also got to see some of the best monuments that exist when we visited Washington D.C a few summers ago and also toured the theater and home where President Lincoln died. Eva acted as our narrator and tour guide. If you have been reading for awhile then you know she is obsessed with the presidents and wants to be POTUS some day :)
3. February 20th is National Cherry
Pie Day...will you celebrate? Given your choice of cherry pie, cherry
cobbler, cheesecake with a cherry topping, or black forest cake which
would you choose?
Not a big cherry fan but if I had to choose I would probably say black forest cake
4. Last time you worked a puzzle of some kind? Something that had you puzzled recently?
Have no idea...puzzles are not my jam...what is the opposite of doing a puzzle? Hmmm...not sure
5. Of the early blooming flowers (January-early March depending on your zone) which one's your favorite?
Well...this list is missing one of my faves and that is tulips! I always count on Natasha to share her tulip finds in the winter. They make me so happy!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Zach surprised us with a visit home this week! He will be joining us for the big basketball game Friday Night! :)
