Show and Tell Tuesday (5 Favorite Pictures Edition)

It's time for another edition of Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea.  Linking up with her HERE

This week, we are charged with sharing our 5 favorite pictures...here it goes!

This picture signifies the beginning of our marriage- it was taken outside of Saunders at Rye Harbor (during our wedding reception).  We loved that place.  It sat right on the harbor in an area where I spent so much time growing up.  Check out my smile.  I was so excited to be spending the rest of my life with this guy.

I love this one. This picture shows the fun we had with Rob's kids when they were growing up.  We would take fun little trips- long weekends- mostly to beaches- but wherever we went, they were most interested in the pool- this one was snapped in Martha's Vineyard.  We had so many mishaps and yet so many laughs on this trip.  We will never forget it.  My parents and brother came with us too and once we get started on the stories from this trip, you can't help but laugh!

My Diana...Our Diana...this one was snapped during Zach's senior year of football by one of our football friends.  He is an amazing photographer and he snapped this pic of Diana on her actual birthday.  We were headed into the first scrimmage of the season...it was a warm summer night...and I will never forget this little face....

and Baby Eva...just being born...looking at Dr. Bose saying, "hey!  Who are you?  and it is cold out here...put me back in!"
Rob captured this picture in the delivery room and it is so Eva...trying to figure it all out!

and the photos by Kristina Mearls take my breath away.  I never thought I would get a picture that made me happy and I am SO GLAD that she snapped this one of me and my girls...will never forget their ages...or that hot summer afternoon at Benson's Park.

and because I ALWAYS follow the rules and I don't feel like it with this post...I need to share two more pics because they complete my life....

This picture, for me, symbolizes all of the fun trips we have taken with my parents.  They took us on a beautiful trip to Disney, we spent a long weekend in Florida with them and we have done various long weekends at the New England beaches too.  Two summers ago we enjoyed a long weekend up in Maine and I LOVE LOVE this pic of all of us- so happy- this is what life is all about

and last but not least

One pic to signify fun with my girlfriends- this one includes some of my favorite besties.  The women that life me up and make me a better person.  This night we had gone to dinner at XO on Elm and then headed over to a 90's concert at the Verizon Center- we had a blast! This is an example of pure joy with girlfriends

So when it comes to pictures, I can never follow the rules.  I am shocked I was able to only share 7 but there ya have it!

Weekend Recap!

Wow!  This was a busy one!  Full of family fun and never stopping!  I love weekends like this though....ones that are crazy busy but you can still sqeak in a Sunday afternoon nap...FTW!

Here is what our weekend looked like......

Friday Night

I went to the stations of the cross.  Our church does this on Friday nights during lent.  I really enjoyed it!  Then, we headed to the high school play with Diana and Sam.  (Eva stayed with Papa)
It was awesome!
They did the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  We had some friends' kids in the show and they were all so talented...we really enjoyed it and the kids did too!
Diana got to see our babysitter Mandi in the show- she is such a talent!  She posed with the girls after the show was over!

Saturday

We divided and conquered!

Rob took Eva to her gymnastics and dance classes.  While he was doing that, I went to the grocery store to prepare for dinner that night!  You will see why.  After the grocery store, I raced to the high school so I could be at the new player and cheerleader registration for the Wolverines.
Rob is always good about getting videos so he got a couple at gymnastics and one at dance so I wouldn't miss out :)

After that there was some more running around to do....liquor store..the butcher...you get it.

We all met up at home and then headed to the town hall to witness Daddy being sworn in to the school board.  This part, though, ended up being very stressful.  I didn't think I would need the diaper bag.  (Show of hands, who else has ever said that to themselves and then had a disaster?)

Pidge decided to poop.  We were all in such a small room waiting for the meeting to start.  I was stuck.  I did not want to miss Rob being sworn in.  Thank God for my friend Jess.  She said, I will go and grab your diapers.  So she took my keys and went to my house and saved the day.  I had to apologize to so many people for the smell (kind of funny now but wasn't funny at the moment)

Pidge is also a Daddy's girl and she decided to freak out because she couldn't sit with Daddy and the rest of the school board.  A friend from town, Cyndi, helped me by entertaining her with her phone.  Thank God!

Behind the scenes there was stressful election news happening.  It was all too much to take at once.  Things are still very up in the air but Daddy got to be sworn in, in good faith.  I got a video- praise the Lord!

Once Daddy was sworn in and the board was re-organized, the girls and I headed home to get Diana ready for her cheer comp and for Mama ready for her office to come over!

Thank God for our village- Lea and Tricia took Diana to her comp for me.  It ended up being Saturday night (go figure).  These girls never compete at night but the one night I am having my office for dinner is the night that this happens.  It all worked out though.

Courtney snapped a pic of the Windham girls at the competition

At home, I was preparing dinner for my office.
We started with a bruschetta bar and sparkler cocktails.

Rob snapped a pic of all of the bruschetta goodness

We all had such a great time.  It was nice to get together outside of the office and with our spouses.  Stories were told- laughs were had and we had a yummy dinner which consisted of sirloin with gorgonzola sauce on the side, grilled salmon, roasted potatoes, roasted green beans and arugula salad!
I broke out some fancy wine for the occasion too- Coleen gave us this awesome bottle and it paired so well with the sirloin.

Dan and Sandy brought me these beautiful tulips- as you know, I LOVE fresh flowers!

and Pidge stole the show again- ha ha!  Here she is snuggling up to my boss Dan!

I am so glad we did this; it was a great night

Sunday

We usually head to mass but this Sunday was different.  The MOMS Club of Windham hosted a private event for its members.  We got to meet the Easter Bunny!  The girls had a blast.  The MOMS club had snacks and crafts while we were waiting and we got to hang out with our closest pals, the Grahams and some other friends from town.  It was so cute!

Diana and Alice- BFFs waiting for the Bunny :)

The girls with the Big Guy :)

After that, we headed to Diana's very first lacrosse scrimmage- it was SO COLD!  It felt more like football weather- we have had the longest winter EVER...we have all had ENOUGH!
Besides the cold, it was fun to watch the game alongside one of my besties Lea :)
Snapped a couple of pics of course

After that, we crashed!  Woosh...just tired typing all of this!  Love my little fam and love our village....blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives!  Happy Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Favorites (March 24, 2017)

Yeah!  My favorite day of the week!
As always, linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea HERE

Here are my favorites from this week!

Fashion Faves of the Week

These espadrilles are ON POINT
You can still find them at Macy's HERE

and they pair perfectly with my kick crop jeans from Loft.
You can still find some HERE

This week, I paired them with a sweater I bought about a year ago and never wore.  When I tossed it on this week, it became the perfect outfit with the jeans and espadrilles.  I am SO MAD I did not take a picture BUT maybe I will put it on again tonight and snap a pic for next week.   You know when you LOVE LOVE an outfit- every piece is just right?  That is what happened to me this week.
You can still find the sweater on Ebay and on Amazon HERE

I added my turquoise Kendra Scott Rayne Pendant and topped it off with my J Crew black puffer vest
I am telling you friends, an outfit FTW!
Find it HERE

and you can still find similar vests on Ebay like HERE
(Keep in mind, mine is 7 years old!)

Lunch Dates

A definite fave of the week was meeting my besties for lunch- Monday with Lea at Old School (so of course got the lobster salad) and Wednesday with Cass at Red's.  We were SO GOOD with our salads- the double stack tomato salad with grilled chicken on it is delish!  Exhibit A

BUT when they started cooking with truffle oil and that is all we could smell our mouths were watering so we had to order not one but TWO orders of truffle fries- they melted in our mouths- we ate them so fast, I didn't even get a chance to take a picture ;)
We mapped out our September Newport trip for the Wine Festival while we were at it- it really gives me something to look forward to and work hard for

Cheer Comp Pictures

Well the ones I ordered from the first comp of the season, in Hartford CT, just came in and we LOVE THEM!  They truly show you are fierce Diana can be and how serious she is about this sport :)

And More Pictures

While we are on pictures...we have some funny ones of Eva this week too!

Celebrating St. Patty's Day at School- ha ha!
and playing dress up at home :)

and lastly, this girl LOVES to put her little hands in her pockets- I could just eat her right up!
Cute right?  :)

Birthday Celebrations

Mid March and the beginning of Spring is always the time we celebrate our parents- my mom's bday is on the 21st and my father in law's bday is on the 22nd.
We had fun celebrating them both this week

We had my mom for dinner and cake and games and fun on Sunday!  The girls were very happy to celebrate with her :)

and my parents got to see the girls all dressed up for the Daddy Daughter Dance which was an added bonus :)

and then on Wednesday night, we celebrated Papa Bob.
We were going to do dinner and his favorite, ricotta pie, at home but my mother in law has been in the hospital all week.  It has been stressful and draining.  We decided to take him out to his favorite place, Lobster Tail, in town.  We had a ball and the new owners have really stepped it up there!  The menu is incredible!
Snapped a few fun pics :)

The last of the election victory was erased this week when we erased Rob's "Vision Board" so we could start meal planning again :)
One last look...this was a definite FAVE of the campaign :)  Daddy gets sworn in again tomorrow!  We are going in person to witness it this time- so excited!

and my final fave of the week is this....enough said

Have a wonderful weekend!  Ours is jam packed with all sorts of fun: a play, Daddy being sworn in, gymnastics, dance, my office coming over for dinner, pictures with the Easter Bunny and Diana's first lacrosse scrimmage......This is what life is all about
