Hi Friends! Hope you all enjoyed this holiday weekend.
I think it will go down as my favorite Memorial Day Weekend.
The only downer was that our town parade got cancelled-we love watching Daddy march.
It is okay though, the rest of the weekend made up for it!
Friday night, we kicked off the weekend with my parents. They came up and we had a lobster dinner outside- it was a perfect night!

My Red, White & Blue Trifle
(so easy- I layered angel food cake, whip cream, strawberries & blueberries for a festive treat)
The flowers and herbs in the yard are starting to bloom too!
Chives
Peonies!
Saturday morning, we stopped at Mary Ann's for breakfast and then hit the road to head to Laurel & Tom's lake house on Winnipesaukee!
Once there, we headed down to the dock and spent Saturday on their boat
It was SO MUCH FUN...not only for the kiddos but for us adults too :)
Back at the house, we relaxed with cocktails and then a slider bar for dinner!
We even got to enjoy fireworks on their front deck- it was truly amazing.
Rob's childhood friend Frank also popped by with his wife- they went to elementary school together and they have a lake house by Laurel and Tom's
We really had a great time!
I made this Red, White & Blue Caprese Salad

and this Blackened Chicken & Quinoa Salad (I didn't blacken the chicken, I just used a store bought roasted chicken) It was really easy and delish! You can find the recipe HERE
On Sunday, we headed home and finished the planting!

On Memorial Day, we usually enjoy the town parade but it was cancelled due to the rain.
Daddy still went to the indoor ceremony which he said was beautiful.
We hung in and cooked and then celebrated Papa and Gram's 57th Wedding Anniversary
Later in the day, we headed to the Miller's for a fun filled afternoon of games, cocktails and a cookout
It truly was an amazing weekend to kick off SUMMAH!
