So...we needed a weekend away...just the two of us...I always want to be on the ocean or at least near it and so we chose Ogunquit.
We felt like two teenagers that were sneaking off together.
We started with a VERY cold brisk walk on the beach...even though we were numb after, there is nothing that brings me more peace than the ocean
As soon as we checked in, we proceeded to fill the hot tub RIGHT IN OUR Room....Yes...right in our room..and that was not all!
There was a gas fireplace above the hot tub...I kid you not...it was just fantab
We enjoyed some champagne and relaxation while watching a Friends marathon (pure bliss)
and I just had to capture the bed...LOVED the bedding..
Later on, we headed out for a romantic and fun dinner at Five 0 on Shore Road
It was a funky little hot spot and we enjoyed our choices
We started with a trio of tapas- marinated olives with roasted garlic, roasted red peppers on little toasts and gorgonzola stuffed dates wrapped in proscuitto. For dinner, we both picked the flounder special which was herb stuffed and served over a red pepper risotto...very good! Dessert? Too good to even write about -chocolate cinnamon creme brulee and flourless chocolate torte...could only take a few bites (yes it was my cheat day!)
After dinner it was time for the PATS and more hot tub time for me! Relaxing and romantic night away :)
