Torrone
You must hear my mom pronounce this though...so authentic...so Italian...such tradition for us. One of my first Christmas Eve memories is walking into my Nani's house and seeing crystal dishes filled with boxed up Torrone...so delicious...an Italian nougat candy with nuts that comes in different flavors. If you take a walk through the North End in Boston, you will see different markets and stores displaying Torrone in blocks and sheets...amazing!
