Hello Monday and Hello Summah! (June 22, 2026)

Hi Friends!  Happy Monday and Happy "Summah!" Weeee....we are here!  As every other Monday, I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends.  If you did, too, grab our graphic above and link back up with us below so we can see what you were up to!  C'mon it'll be fun...promise :)

Here is what our little weekend looked like...

Friday Night

It was time for Friday Night Pizza Night but before Diana and I indulged in our pizza and salad, we headed out to do some college shopping.  We made stops at 5 Below, Hobby Lobby and Home Goods.  We did pretty well!

We headed to 5 Below first because I saw the cutest pink cheetah trash basket that would go well in her room.  She and her roommate decided on a pink theme with cheetah accents. Not only did we score the trash basket, but we also found a matching pillow and blanket and a great storage ottoman!  She also picked up the cutest little framed print that reads "How Lucky Are We" which are lyrics from one of her favorite Zach Bryan songs.

Our next stop was Hobby Lobby and she got one of those weighted stuffed animals for her bed and a jewelry organizer for her desk/vanity.  We spotted this mirror and she said she wanted a full length one of this exact one.  So...I started doing my research and found a similar one on Amazon that I will purchase during Prime Days and I ordered a decal, with those exact words, from an artist on Etsy so I will stick the decal on the mirror when it comes in!

After that, we went home to eat then headed out to get a couple of Father's Day essentials and stop at Home Goods.  We only picked up a couple of small things for her there- some hangers and a glass holder for Q Tips.  We were underwhelmed there.

We will hit Target and Walmart at some point too but we think most of the purchases will happen on Amazon during the big sale next week- fingers crossed!

When shopping was done, we curled up to watch an episode of Smash before Mama feel asleep before 8- ha!

Saturday

It was softball allll day for Pidge!  We headed up to Barrington first thing and we were up there for the day- three games with her town tournament team.  They lost all three-not a great day but love being on the field and watching my girl do what she loves!

with her Bestie

We got the cutest pics sent to us of Sylvie attending some summer festival- look at our beautiful little patriotic girl- precious!

When we got home, we Door Dashed Reds...we were wiped!  Eva had mac and cheese and we enjoyed their awesome Steak Gorgonzola salads.  Diana worked and then headed out to two grad parties and had a blast!

We crashed early and hard!

Sunday

Happy Father's Day! and Happy SUMMAH!

These are our 3 GOATs! :)

My Dad Pete

 My Father In Law Bob

 My Hubby Rob

Rob, Papa and Eva headed up north for more softball.  I headed to grab coffee and breakfast sandwiches with Diana and we caught up on her fun night.  Then I headed to mass.

When I got home, I caught up on prayers and blogging.

A little while later, the gang was home from softball and...

we celebrated our favorite Dads with Chinese Food and Ice Cream Cake and treats.  So sad I didn't get any pics with our Dads but we were able to snap one of Rob and his kids (and granddaughter) :)

Hello Monday (June 16, 2025)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I am here with Sarah and we are sharing our weekends- if you did too, link up with us below!

First things first...we are on verdict watch here...have you been following along?  Not sure what I am going to be doing when this case is over...time will tell for sure...

Friday

I whipped up a patriotic flower arrangement...just makes me happy

and one good thing about all of the rain, the plants and flowers are doing great outside!

Rob and Eva had softball practice and Diana didn't have plans for once so we took the chance to drive around with the top down, grab an ice cream and catch up :)

Saturday

Rob and Eva and Papa headed up to Barrington first thing for softball...Diana and I grabbed bowls at Playa Bowls real quick, for breakfast

Then I headed up to Barrington for a day of softball....Eva did well...love watching this team!

I headed home in between games to make dinner and get some things done for the week then headed back up for the next two games

We got home around 8pm, ate and crashed hard...and of course, caught up on some "Canton Confidential"

Sunday

 Happy Father's Day!

It was time for more softball!  I was able to catch the first game before all of my work started

and I love how patriotic it is up in Barrington...needed to snap a pic of the flags (not too great because I was driving)

Then I picked up Chinese food and my parents and brother came over so we could celebrate my Dad

and then when they left, I cleaned everything up...finished getting organized for the week...ordered some pizzas and got ready for the next crowd.  The girls and Marshall and Sylvie came over to celebrate Rob.  He, Eva and Papa didnt' get home from softball until 7:30 but we made the most of it and had a great time!

Eva's team came in 2nd for the whole tournament so they got runner up (silver) rings!

We can't wait for Zach to come home next week so we can enjoy dinner with him and Zoe and catch up :)

It was a great Father's Day Weekend!  What were you all up to?

Hello Monday (June 17, 2024)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with Sarah and we are sharing about our weekends.  Hope you will join us!  This is a very extra special Hello Monday because SARAH met my stepson ZACH at the US Open this past weekend. What a small world! That is the beauty and magic of blogging- she recognized him from my blog and went right up to him and I am so glad she did!  She emailed me and he called me and I saw the magic of this community one more time- just love it!

Anyway...back to our weekend....here we go....

Friday

It was the last day of school and time for the obligatory front steps pics

Last day of Sophomore Year- I can't believe it- Diana pulled off honors even though this last semester was the most challenging and sad and stressful for her- we are so proud of her grit

Last day of 4th Grade and last day ever at Golden Brook- not too emotional- geesh!!!

and later, Rob and I joined the rest of the 4th grade parents for the beautiful tradition of "Clap Out"

The 4th grade marches through the school and hands flowers to their teachers who made the greatest impact and then they continue the march outside through all of the parents- so so many tears my friends!  Check it out.....

Meanwhile, up at the high school, Diana gifted her favorite teacher a tiara and sash because she says he is "sassy"- they had such a great relationship and he pushed her which is exactly what she needed!

When the kids got out of school, Eva had her little end-of-school-year party...loaded them up on Chic Fil A food and then they swam for hours- even when it rained!  A couple of the moms stayed with me and we enjoyed a cocktail while catching up.  So glad the girls had so much fun :)

That night, Diana worked and Rob and I ran to the store to get food needed for the weekend.  After that? Yup crashed pretty early- so wiped out physically AND emotionally!

Saturday

We were up bright and early and I got Eva and Rob packed for softball. They took off for the tournament and I got Diana to dance.  I prepped some food for Father's Day and then when I picked Diana up, we headed up to Barrington for the first softball game of the weekend.  It was a rough weekend for this team but always love watching this game!

After the first game, Diana and I headed back for Caden's graduation party.  We were invited early to meet the famous Chef, Chef Nick, from Hell's Kitchen.  He and his company catered the party and he was WONDERFUL- so great with people-entertaining and the food was just amazing!

Rob met us there for a bit and then headed out to play with his band at another graduation party in town.

Kary took care of Eva for us and spoiled the girls on the way home from softball...

Diana then headed to a sleepover party.  I got Eva showered and we crashed.

Sunday

Rob and Eva were off to softball again.  I headed to mass and then picked up Diana and brought her to work.  Then it was time to prep for Father's Day.  We were hosting the fam with a BBQ- it was a day of great food- laughs and our main entertainment- Baby Sylvie of course! :)

That's a wrap!  What were you all up to?
