Hi Friends! Happy Hodgpodge Day! Linking up with Joyce and answering her questions below...
1. St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated on Monday, March 17th. Did you mark the day in some way? Wear green? Make a special meal? Watch or participate in a parade?
Nope! We are not Irish...so I never made the traditional meal or anything like that....the only thing we did was get some treats for the girls from "Our Leprechaun" ;)
2. Do you think luck plays a part in your life? Explain.
Yes...to a point anyway....I believe in doing the right thing and knowing the rest will fall into place...I believe in having the faith...working hard...staying humble and being kind...yet setting boundaries so you are not walked on...but sometimes it is just timing and luck...or maybe lots of times...hmmm...
3.
Of the 15 green foods listed, which one is your favorite and how do you
like it prepared? Any on the list that are a hard no for you? In
general do you like fruits and veggies? As a kid did you eat them
willingly or did you hide peas in your napkin hoping your Momma wouldn't
see?
4. What's something that makes you 'turn green'? (with envy or with illness... whichever way you want to run with it)
Seeing my people, personally and professionally, get hurt and not being able to fix it. Green with sickness that some people get away with so much...with no remorse...hurts my heart
5. Did you spend a lot of time outdoors as a child? Doing what? Do you spend a lot of time outdoors now? Doing what?
YES! Oh I loved summers....swimming...riding bikes...roller skating....then flashlight tag when we were a little older...lived outside in the summertime!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Hope I wasn't a "Debbie Downer" today...I try to always be positive in this little space...but also be real...there is a fine line...ha!

You gotta keep it real! I love that about your posts- they are positive but you keep it real. I like how you interspersed St. Patty's themed pictures in your post- very creative. Agree so much with your answer about luck and what makes you green. Yes, some people seem to get away with terrible things. Well, maybe during this lifetime...Have a great day!
Thanks for sharing, Holly! You're always keeping it real, and I feel like a mostly positive person on this blog space. Love all the St. Patrick's day pics! :)
I've been reading your blog for a long time (as a mom of two grown dancers, I get so much of your life) but I think this is the first time I've actually commented. I love the way you love your people and I love the way you are authentic. I've only been blogging for a few years (since I retired) but my blogging partner and I always comment on how important it is to be real in this space - celebrating the joys is what keeps us going but I don't think the joys would be as big or as appreciated if we didn't have our lows in the midst of it all!
So nice to meet you Laura- thank you so much for your kind words and you are so right! I think the joys in life are so much more exciting and appreciated when you have been on the other side- thanks for that reminder! :)
Thank you Ali -I feel the same way about you! :)
Thank you friend- I love your posts and how intelligently you write- I think you are very real too! XO
I don't ever think your posts are downers; real but not negative. For not really celebrating St. Patrick's Day you have lots of fun festive photos.
We didn't celebrate St. Patrick's day this year! I guess we don't really ever! HA I always love your post!
