Hello Monday (March 24, 2025)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends.  If you did the same, please grab our graphic above and link back up with us below.  C'mom!  It'll be fun :)

Here is what our little weekend looked like...

Friday Night

It was My Mama's Birthday so my Dad took us all out to Davio's in Lynnfield.  We had a spectacular meal and my brother made us laugh as hard per usual that our stomachs hurt- ha!

After dinner, we headed back to my parents to sing Happy Birthday and my mom could enjoy her cake.  It was a great night of celebrating!

Diana was with the cheerleaders in Worcester.  They took a bus and stayed in a hotel overnight for Regionals.  It was one last time for some camaraderie and fun!

Saturday

Happy Birthday Papa Bob!

Rob headed out to do some yard work.  We are prepping for the prom in a few weeks and want to make sure the yard is clean.  I headed to Home Depot to pick up some flowers to plant but nothing was out yet- still too early- boo!  I then headed to get gifts for the cheer coaches as our end-of-season banquet is this week.

I then got us takeout for lunch and watched a series my parents recommended- only three episodes- Adolescence on Netflix.  Wow!  It is dark and scary but I couldn't stop watching.  It is about a teen killing another teen.  Yikes.

Anyway...quick pic of my loves :)

Then my parents got to our house and it was time to hit the road for the Regionals/New Englands Cheer Comp in Worcester.

Ally and Alex making it more fun ;)

 The Routine

It was really fun.  We did get to catch a good amount of teams.  Windham did well but did not place and no one expected them to.  Only the top 2 in each division go to Nationals.  It was a great end to a fabulous season.  We were really happy for Diana because she had a blast and this season brought her so much joy and really helped her to establish some goals for college.  So part of our college process now is meeting with cheer peeps and learning the requirements.  It is kinda fun even if she doesn't end up cheering.  It is something to work towards for sure.

We crashed as soon as we got home!

Sunday

Rob and I were up first thing and headed to our much dreaded tax appointment- BOO.  Gotta say, however, I had myself so worked up but it ended up being not so bad.  Our tax person Judee is always so helpful and calming.  Just glad it is over.

After that, we picked up Pidge and headed to mass with Papa.  Diana headed to her first job.

After mass, we drove right into Boston to take Papa to the North End to celebrate his birthday.  We enjoyed a nice lunch at Artu and then walked over to Bova's so he could have his request- pasteries!  If you are ever in the area, Bova is the best Italian Bakery in the North End and it is the only one that is not a tourist trap- it is a family run Italian bakery which is open 24 hours and has the best pastries, cookies, breads, pizza and more!

We then headed home to relax for a bit and then it was time for one more event for the weekend (yes tiring- ha!) It was the middle school championship ice hockey game!  Windham won!  They are the champs and Eva was on Cloud 9.  My parents met us there so we all went to support her and she was thrilled.  It was such an exciting game!

Diana worked her 2nd job.  Yes we crashed early and hard last night.  What were you all up to?

Leaving you with a little chuckle...this is something we saw on Tik Tok...with babies...but Rob and Eva decided to recreate it...Slice O Cheese always does the trick ;)

Wow, you had a fun busy weekend! I feel the same way about taxes. We sent our organizer in finally, but still waiting to hear the results. I never have a clue as to what they'll be. I love all the food pics-everything looks so good, especially those mussels which are one of my faves. Happy birthday to all! Looks like they were well celebrated with family which makes the day special. In NJ we could never put any flowers out before Mother's Day due to weather. Hope you have a great week!

What a great full weekend! Love all of the family pics! Those meals out look so good. So cool about the bakery in Boston. I don't know if I'll make it to Boston again but if I do, I will try to check Boca out. Congrats to both girls in their competitions/games this weekend. It seems like you need a weekend now for your weekend!! Hope your Monday is a good one!

Phew -- I'm tired just reading about your weekend! But so much to celebrate. My weekend was much more lowkey and I didn't even change out of my pjs all day yesterday! I'm hoping to buy some spring flowers next week when my favourite greenhouse opens...
