It has been a true whirlwind of a month...throw in hubby's surgery and my head has been spinning!
Nevertheless, we know we are in the greatest of times with our kids and soaking up the QT while they still want to hang out with us :)
Here is a look at life...lately
Diana had a field trip to "Odiorne State Park and Seacoast Science Center" and I took a vaca day so I could chaperone and spend some time with her. We had the perfect day weather wise and she had a blast. Mama had fun too carpooling with her pal Melissa and enjoying lunch on the water after :)
Daddy requested burgers for his first full meal after surgery. He hadn't been able to eat beef for about 6 weeks so he was craving it. I made Shay's Bacon Bleu Burgers. They were delish! Check the recipe out HERE
We rallied at Diana's last softball game for the season. Even though Daddy is still recovering, he insisted on coming along- wouldn't miss it for the world :)
New Sunglasses- thanks to my fashion consultant Laurel. I am IN LOVE... (insert heart eyes emoji here)
The Batsons came over to chill with us and show their support for my big guy. We had dinner on the back deck which is now his favorite place to be. If you are looking for Robby B this summer...just walk around to the back of the house...you will find him in his little corner of heaven :)
For dinner, I made grilled tilapia fish tacos, cilantro lime rice, avocado corn and bean salad and a strawberry caprese salad. You can find all of these recipes on my Summer board HERE
and how do you repay a friend who has done so much? You score her a Sea Bag on Ebay...the bag of her dreams...and make her year :)
We thoroughly enjoyed Diana's End of Year Performance with LDA when they put on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at St. Anselm College. It was an incredible show. She danced as a "Poison Spirit" for her contemporary number and as a "Flower" for her ballet number. She was in both the 1pm show and the 5pm show and loved every minute!
Diana also competed in her class's Shark Tank competition. I was lucky enough to judge and it happened on a lunch break- what I call a blessing and meant to be! I enjoyed watching the kids presentations, judging and just being there
She and her pal Francesca invented a "Penca Pack" which essentially is a backpack with a holder on the outside for a notebook and pencils, etc that comes with a lock!
Check out Pidge's new shades from Papa- yep - she thinks she is a rock star! Ha ha!!

Love this post! So many good things in one post :)
I have that anchor bag but it's a blue anchor--so fun!! Your strawberry salad and black bean corn salad look so good!! I need to make try making both of these.
