Yes! We did it! I just got back from the annual NH Congress PTA Convention. My group took home the most coveted award- Unit of the Year. The Windham PTA was named the best PTA in the entire State of NH. We were given this honor because of the grass roots advocacy program we rolled out in support of our new high school last Spring. In addition to the new and innovative work we did to educate the town on the options we had when building the High School, we successfully managed our regular programs too, like ice cream socials, book fairs and dances.
As you can see, I got a crown and the five of us (Laurie Sweetser, Karen Flanagan, Me, Lisa Vivinetto and Rosemarie Kelly) all got sparkly wands too- right up alley! :)
