I don't mind my name. When I was little I wasn't crazy about it because it wasn't common so anytime we were in a gift shop, I would look for my name on souvenirs and could never find it- I know so deprived- ha!
Anyway, I chose Diana's name for a couple of reasons. 1. My mom is Diane so it was a tribute to her and 2. Princess Diana was always one of my favorite people. Her middle name Mary is an ode to our Blessed Mother and three out of our four grandmothers.
I chose Eva's name because I loved it. Her middle name Teresa is after Mother Teresa and many of our Italian relatives in Italy- spelled the same way- without the H.
2. A piece of red velvet cake, a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a slice of blueberry pie? You can only have one...which will you choose? If you could pick any red, white, or blue dessert other than those listed here, what would you choose?
Blueberry Pie- love anything blueberry- Blueberry screams summer to me! For red, white and blue, I like a good patriotic candy mix OR my crack bars or rice krispee treats with red, white and blue sprinkles on them.
3. What's a job you'd like to try for just one day?
Teaching. I always think back if I took the "other path." Sometimes I have regrets- other times I yearn to be in a classroom- then other times I am so grateful that I became a Recruiter.
4. Any patriotic decor in your home currently or coming up this summer?
We usually go all out with the patriotic decor but this year, it is grad party central here so our home is decorated in pink and gold and all types of high school and college memorabilia. Our patriotic decor will be back next year unless I get motivated after grad weekend- I am obsessed with all things patriotic and red, white and blue!
5. It's the end of May, so let's exercise our brains. Sum up your month with an acrostic using the word MAY. We can do it!!
M elancholy
A ctive
Y earning
6. Insert your own random thought here.
This month marks the last month of the gifts on the 26th for Diana. One month from now, her high school graduation will be in the rear view mirror- truly surreal. The final gift/gifts this week were a little cork board collage I made for her for her dorm room and a personalized compact from mother to daughter :) I had so much fun surprising her each month on the 26th over the last 10 months. I will miss this.
