Hi Friends! It is that time of the month! Time for Monthly Musings with Patty and me!
This month, we are talking about one of my favorite things and sharing "How We Summer"
Hope you will join us by answering these questions...
Let's get to it!
1. Favorite Thing About Summer 2025?
The extra time I have been getting to spend with my girls...in the car...on the rail trail...sharing time with our family and friends...I don't take these days for granted one bit!
2. Favorite Thing You Ate This Summer?
It would have to be both the lobsters over 4th of July weekend AND the Escargot in the Popover at Figaro's...so delish!
3. Did you see any summer movies? Stream or theater?
Not yet BUT a group of us are going to see Jaws in the theater in August to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary-can't wait!
4. What books did you read this summer?
It's been all about Nancy Thayer this summer for me...thus far anyway..."Summer Light On Nantucket" in June and "The Summer We Started Over" in July both by Nancy. My August book, however, is "Murder At The High School Reunion" by Lee Hollis- Book #4...I think...in the series...just love them all!
5. Ready for Fall or Hold Onto Summer?
I am holding onto summer!
6. What is different about your summer schedule than the rest of the year?
My kids are home from school...Diana spends her time working and sunbathing and reading, hanging out with friends and going to her cheer gym and open gyms at WHS for cheer...Eva has spent most of her summer in theater camps and playing softball and hockey...we are all looking forward to some more downtime in August when we can finally hit the beach and relax a bit before the rat race begins again
7. How do you take a break/relax in the summer?
Can't wait to read your replies because I have yet to relax this summer and hoping to take off a few days in August to do just that...first goal is THE BEACH
8. Any trips still on the calendar for the rest of the summer?
Just an overnight for a college tour to URI with Diana...looking forward to our alone time and this tour more than others...I have a good feeling about this school!
9. Any summer concerts this year?
YES! A few actually....we went to see BNL with our friends and Shania of course! Even though it wasn't a concert, Diana and I enjoyed a quick overnight to NYC to see Bombshell before it closed on Broadway- that was a big adventure!
10. When does summer end in your world?
Typically when the kids go back to school at the end of August...sigh

Aw, I hope you can find some time to relax soon! Good luck with URI; we're checking out a few more colleges in August... hopefully we'll find at least one more he's interested in so he can apply to more than 2.
Wow! That post screams summer. Good to read your thoughts.
I've been seeing these books on Instagram. I'm so curious now. Enjoy the rest of the summer!
Queen of summer! I love how well you enjoy this fun season, from your trips to the lake to the trips to the beach to all the time spent with your family and friends. That lobster looks good! Thanks for the link up :).
Holly, I agree with you and want to hold onto summer as much as possible!
You do summer well and hope you get some time to relax at the beach!
Praying that August brings time to relax for you all! Summer - with all it offers - is the best!
Those books do look like summer! I haven't read either one, but they are on my TBR-eventually list.
I somehow just missed the linkup cutoff time, but wanted to share anyway:
