"Summer Light On Nantucket" by Nancy Thayer
Great beach read- just loved it!
But no amount of that drama could change the family’s beloved annual summer trip to Nantucket. Blythe has always treasured the months spent at her island home-away-from-home, and has fond memories of her children growing up there. But this summer’s getaway proves to be much more than she bargained for.
Yes, there are sunny days enjoyed at the beach. But Blythe must contend with teenage angst, her ex-mother-in-law’s declining health, and a troubling secret involving her ex-husband. Meanwhile, Blythe reconnects with her first love, her former high school sweetheart Aaden. But their second-time-around romance becomes complicated when another intriguing man enters the picture.
It’s all a bit out of Blythe’s comfort zone. This particular island summer may not be as relaxing as Blythe had hoped, but she’s never felt that life has given her more than she can handle—especially when she has the love and support of her family around her.
What I'm Listening To
We just added the last few songs to Diana's Junior Year Playlist- some recent additions including these last few include: "Sailor Song" by Gigi Perez, "Anxiety" by Doechii, "Bad Dreams" by Teddy Swims, "Someone New" by Hozier and "Starting Over" by Chris Stapleton
We are starting Diana's Senior Year Playlist Now and the 1st song that will be added will be "Hotel Room Service" by Pit Bull

Wow! Congratulations on your senior, that is so exciting! Thanks for sharing about the book, that sounds like something I would enjoy. I am always looking for book suggestions. Looks like a busy summer. Have a great Wednesday!
As usual, so much good going on! Love the throw back pictures of Diana. I feel like the whole year ahead is going to consist of a lot of "look backs" for you guys of days gone by. It's a great reflection time as the milestone approaches. You've had some great celebrations with family and friends. Looking forward to following along on all of your summer adventures :).
Girl you are smart and hard working. Put your head down and just keep going!
Necessary conversations-ugh. I dread those too, but they often go better than expected and it will feel good to have that weight off your brain. You've had a fun and busy month. Rolling in to senior year with all the feels. Just let yourself feel them. You'll enjoy the college years with her too...I love my girls college friends so much. Your weekly menu sounds yummy! Have a great rest of the week!
