Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! I am here with my blogging partner Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends...hope you will join us!
Here is what our weekend looked like complete with all of the graduation festivities...
Friday Night
Cass came over so we could have a couple of cocktails together and calm down- I think I was almost as stressed and emotional as she was- not quite but what a bittersweet time! We took the chance to steam Alexis's grad gown- to be honest- Rob did most of it- I am ok but he is a master at steaming clothes ;)
We headed to the high school...due to the predicted rain and threat of thunderstorms, the ceremony was moved inside and each family got four tickets. Rob and I were granted two tickets as he was giving a few diplomas away and I reaped those benefits along with the fact that I am on the WHS Parent Council so there's that...we were so happy to have front row access to our family friends :)
It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony- honored to be there!
Diana and her bestie were able to take the shuttle and watch the ceremony in the auditorium. That worked out very well so they could be there and see their friends in person right after...when she spotted Alexis she lost it and that is when I kinda lost it too :(
When we headed outside we were able to see Ella and her fam too :)
When we got home, we shared a pizza and hit the hay
Saturday
We were up bright and early. Rob helped his dad with some errands as he was having car trouble. Eva tagged along. Diana and I headed up to Dover NH (about an hour away) so she could take the SATs again and see if she could beat her first scores.
While Diana was testing, I drove to a nearby Starbucks and set up shop. I did a little work and then caught up on my reading- I devoured my book and even finished it! It was so relaxing to do this- can't remember the last time I had this amount of time to read and relax :)
When she was done, we headed home and and got some organizing done for the week. Diana headed to work, Eva headed out with Papa and Rob and I headed to Ella's graduation party
That night, Rob had a gig and I headed home to watch my shows- got caught up on "And Just Like That" and "Ginny and Georgia." It was blissful :)
Sunday
We got up and Diana and I headed to Nutrition Corner for some teas and breakfast then drove around with the top down. Beautiful Day!
Then we all (minus Diana who was doing her homework) headed to mass with Papa.
After that we relaxed a bit then Rob and I headed to Jayce's grad party. The girls hung at home.
Later on, Rob brought me home and headed up to the high school softball game with Pidge- our high school team is in the quarter finals and these are the girls Pidge looks up to!
Diana and I took a joy ride- I enjoyed myself for once, while she drove me around and we listened to our usual songs...this song...is how I will remember this time and this year specifically :)
Then last night, Diana headed out on her first date with a boy she has been talking to- they went for ice cream- so sweet- literally and figuratively ;)
I snuggled up to watch The Tonys while Rob and Eva played softball in the yard- great yet exhausting weekend!

What a fabulous weekend of graduation and celebrations! So glad you were able to score one of the coveted tickets to the inside ceremony. It's looking like both graduations for our family are going to get rained out/be inside this week as well.
