Hello Monday and Hello Easter Weekend 2025!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by!  We are blogging about out weekends so if you did the same, please grab our graphic above and link back up with us below...c'mon...it'll be fun :)

Here is what our Easter weekend looked like....

Friday Night

My Father In Law and I picked up Eva from Floor Hockey and headed to the Living Stations Of The Cross...this is one of my favorite ways to prepare for Easter...our church does an amazing job acting out the stations and we get to follow along with Jesus's passion...extremely emotional and so so powerful...this year, it did not disappoint

After that, we had Friday Night Pizza Night...Rob and Eva had softball practice and then we crashed early...well not Diana of course...she slept over Jaidyn's

Saturday

I was an Easter Prepping Machine...I hard boiled our eggs so they would be ready to color...I made an egg casserole for Easter morning...I roasted carrots for our Easter salad...I set up the tables...of course, I ran to Revitalize for a TEA :)

Then Eva and I made our traditional Resurrection Rolls

and then My Father In Law showed me how he makes his famous banana fritters.  For years, when Rob was growing up, his parents owned convenient stores with bakeries in the Lowell area...he and his brothers became famous for making the best chicken pies around...they also made other things like these banana fritters.  They were most popular at Thanksgiving time but he has made them for Easter a time or two for us over the years...and it was fun to watch him in action!

Then my mom arrived and we got busy....we made our traditional bunny breads, colored eggs and made our traditional bird nest cookies!

Laura made sure our Real Estate Easter Greeting got out too ;)

Then Diana, Mimi and I hit the rail trail for a nice walk...it was SO WARM out...the long awaited spring has finally arrived!

We wrapped up our day with Eva's first softball game of the season...so great to be back outside and on the field!  Diana headed to work

I crashed hard...Rob had a gig

Sunday

Happy Easter!  He has Risen!

We were up bright and early prepping for our family brunch- I cooked two roast beefs...put together our salad and started warming some other dishes.

When the girls got up, they enjoyed opening their Easter Bags and then headed out for our traditional Easter egg hunt...I will continue this until Eva graduates high school :)

Then we all got ready and met the rest of the fam at 9:30 mass which was beautiful as always...(Diana headed to work but was able to enjoy the afternoon with us)

After mass, we headed home to enjoy brunch together

It was a lovely day...I am tired but grateful...how was your weekend?  What did you all do?

GOOD FRIDAY (April 18, 2025)

 Because I wouldn't be here....none of us would...without him

Here are a few glimpses of JOY from this Holy Week

 Photos From Friends

Most peeps ask me to send them pics- always have the phone/camera ready!  I try to capture every moment because I am such a sap...I want to remember everything...anyway I digress...once in awhile I will get some photos sent to me and I need to save them of course...these few capture prom night and a wonderful cheer season this year which turned out to be the biggest blessing for Diana :)  Both squish my heart!

 BFF Time

 Ice Bucket Challenge

It's back....for Eric Dane...for ALS awareness...and we were challenged...successful...even though my bucket was so heavy that I ended up missing most of my head...we laughed so hard...I can't even watch it without laughing...and Batman?  That's Rob re-creating what he did 11 years ago the first time we did this

That's a wrap...have a wonderful weekend friends and Happy Easter, if you celebrate!
