3. December 9th is National Christmas Card Day. Do you still send Christmas cards? If so does yours include a photo or is it a more traditional card, or maybe homemade? How do you feel about the tradition of exchanging cards at the holidays? If Hanukkah is the holiday you celebrate in December do you send cards to mark the occasion?
Exchanging holiday cards is one of my favorite annual traditions...we always do photos on ours and sometimes, like this year, with a religious message
4. What's your least favorite holiday related task? What's your favorite?
Shopping = Least Favorite
Hosting Family and Friends= Favorite
5. Let's do a little holiday this or that?
shopping or wrapping- don't enjoy either- yikes
baking or decorating- decorating
eggnog or wassail- eggnog
real tree or artificial- artificial
turkey or ham- turkey
white lights or colored lights- white lights
ugly sweaters or matching pjs- matching pjs
peppermint or cinnamon - peppermint
presents Christmas Eve or presents Christmas Day- both!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
As my girls are getting older and some of the magic has disappeared...I try to keep the traditions alive as much as possible...they really do enjoy so many of the things we do...and as far as gifts, I am at the point where I love to give experiences...experiences that will create wonderful memories together...that is my favorite gift and I know they will agree :)

I agree with all of your answers to the questions this week. I love how you embrace traditions and savor experiences with loved ones. I am looking forward to reading about your events and all the holiday things this season :).
Those fun traditions and spending time with family and friends at this time of year is so important.
I am sending 2 Christmas cards this year, no one I know really sends them anymore apart from a couple of older relatives.
I love the shopping part of Christmas but hate the wrapping.
Aww thanks Maria- I know you do the same- I will appreciate this time even more next year when our little college student will be coming home :)
Yes wrapping is the worst- I am doing mostly gift bags this year- cheating- ha! :)
The magic does change a bit and traditions too, but I love the idea of experiences! I have found it has been fun to add new things as my girls have gotten older. Every year still seems special though! Good luck with shopping and wrapping!
Our answers were so similar! I love your last random thought. I want to do the same; I have something fun planned for us when Noah comes home. We have to do that or we'd cry, right? I miss that magical part of Christmas through their young eyes. Merry Wednesday, my friend! I hope your day is amazing.
Yes very special as long as we are together! :)
Right back at ya my friend- hope the holidays are filled with time with your boys :)
I agree that shared experiences are the best gifts as our children get older. We have grands now so lots of magic happening again in the way only littles can make happen. I want to bottle it up. I think I'm going to talk my hubs into a drive to see the lights one night. I love that too. Have a great day!
You have the best of both worlds Joyce! :)
We always did presents on both Christmas eve and Christmas day; growing up my "Christmas" with my dad was on Christmas eve and then Christmas day was my mom's. Then when Ben and I started celebrating it was rather funny that he had the same arrangement with his parents so we went to both father's sides of the family Christmas eve and then both our moms on Christmas day. Now this year we don't even have any plans for either day!
Well you are welcome here on Christmas Eve if you wanna make the drive! :)
