Friday Favorites: Nantucket Faves Edition

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!  It has been a rough week in these parts...raising teenagers is not for the faint of heart and when your kid's heart is broken so is yours...anyway...needed something happy to focus on...this weekend is our annual Nantucket Girls Weekend.  It will look a little different this year.  First off, Cass's Uncle died and she cannot attend which is such a bummer.  Second, Lea and I can't get to the island until tomorrow morning due to what we thought were going to be scheduling issues but everything has been crazy and changing so rapidly here...anyway I digress...we are headed to the Cape tonight to stay over and be able to catch the 6am ferry tomorrow morning to meet up with the rest of our crew...looking forward to squeezing in a little joy this weekend anyway.

I thought I would take this post to share a few of my favorite Nantucket things...here we go....

Lola and Co

I LOVE these pendants and how each one has a different meaning.  They were designed by a local designer in Massachusetts and you can typically find these shops in beach towns.  They have a shop on Nantucket but you can also buy things online on their website!

Here is my collection so far....

and here is the breakdown....

Large Nantucket Pendant

(One of our favorite places- meant to be worn close to your heart)

The Dragonfly

(Having flown the earth for 300 million years, dragonflies symbolize our ability to overcome times of hardship. They can remind us to take time to reconnect with our own strength, courage and happiness.)

The Compass- given to me by my friend Laura

(“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson.)

and The Octopus (which I wear on a bracelet)

Character.
Intelligence.
Strength.
Style.
That makes beauty.

The Wine and Food Festival

and the reason we started making this an annual trip.  We used to LOVE the Newport one each September but they never brought it back after COVID- boo!  Nantucket fills that void for sure!  It is a crazy time of year to try and get away but a quick weekend works just fine

Epernay

Speaking of wine...Epernay is the cutest little wine shop on island...we always bop in before the big festival to sample what they are pouring.  Last year, we enjoyed Tattinger Champagne with Caviar and Gourmet Chips- very fancy- ha!

Merch

We love bopping into the little shops and I especially love snagging some merch like a hat or sweatshirt...love sporting ACK all year long :)

Dining

Well each year we have one nice dinner at a local gem- we have done the Club Car and Cru and this year we are trying The Galley...CANNOT WAIT...have heard wonderful things and the restaurant sits right on the beach- yeah!

So I will be back here on Monday to recap the weekend- have a great one!

My Second Job

Hi Friends!  I decided that I am comfortable enough to share with you what I am doing for a second job.  After taking a night course all fall and into the winter and studying very hard, (especially while at dance comps over the winter) I passed my real estate licensing exams and became a licensed real estate agent for the State of NH and Certified Realtor.  I will next study to gain my license in Mass as well.  For now, this is the first step!

I was quickly hired by my mentor and inspiration Laura and it was the perfect timing as she is creating her own group under Keller Williams Metropolitan.

Our first newsletter is going out this week...check out a snapshot here....

So YES I am still a Full Time Recruiter...with the job market being what it has been and no opportunity for growth where I am, I had to do something to bring in more income...Robby B is always working gigs for a second job and I will be pitching in this way.  Let me know if you know anyone looking to buy or sell- our team services NH and MA BUT Keller Williams works globally and we can refer you to the right agent wherever you are located!

So between performances and softball and hockey games...you will find me at showings and such on the weekends.  I will try to document so you can follow along with this adventure :)

Hello Monday and Hello Mother's Day Weekend!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I am here with Sarah and we hope you will join us!  If you blogged today, grab our graphic above and link back up with us below!

Here is what our little weekend looked like...and I will say, I was surrounded by the best women and I needed them...they give me strength and love and I am grateful!

Friday

Janie and I met up for one of our epic lunches where we talk personal...professional...do some networking and we strategize with our common goal of growing our business.  We had our epic laughs and shared great stories and I always truly get inspired by her words...so grateful for this friendship...grateful that we get to work together doing what we love, but the true bonus is the friendship that grew out of that :)

That night, we took out Beth Ann "My Betty Boop" for her birthday.  Lea and I met up for a quick cocktail first and then the gang all met up at 6:30.  We loved our celebration at On the Corner Grill in Derry- we spoiled BA and had some great laughs.  Check out the Jimmy G shirt I snagged her as part of her gift- the two of us will always love him ;)

 Saturday

The morning consisted of bringing Diana to dance, Daddy and Pidge to softball and Mama getting some pampering in- nails, toes and waxing.  Productive yet relaxing (for the most part- do you ever get to fully relax when you are a mom?  I think not- ha!)

That afternoon, Cass and Alexis came over to surprise Diana with an early Sweet 16 Birthday gift...check it out....

Diana will be going to see Lana Del Rey at Fenway with Alexis and Caden in June and she was over the moon.  It was just what the doctor ordered during a challenging time for her.  Will leave it at that- my monkey XO

After that, the girls headed out for some fun and I took Cass out for an early birthday dinner.  We head to Nantucket next weekend and Memorial Day is going to be full of some other fun so we needed to get our alone time in and enjoyed dinner at Zachary's and presents of course :)

While we were out, Daddy finished the mulching job I had started this week...

It ended up being an early night and I crashed hard!

Sunday

Happy Mother's Day!  I was surrounded by my people and I am grateful.  We started with mass which always makes my heart full

Then Diana had to work and we headed to Eva's Spring Hockey Game

Then we headed home and Kayla, Marshall, Baby Sylvie and Ally came over for a bit...we enjoyed a seafood chowder I had made AND OF COURSE we devoured Baby Sylvie :)

Later on, Mimi, Papa and Uncle Matt joined us and we all loved our takeout lobster rolls from The Beach Plum.  Uncle Matt also spoiled us with a chocolate cake for dessert (requested by Mimi)

Last night, I crashed early to prepare for a busy week and these goofballs watched the Bruins game :)

Grateful for these people who make my life so full!
