Hello Monday and Hello UGA!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by!  If you blogged about your weekend, hope you will link up with us!

Here is what our "long weekend" looked like...

I worked during the day and then took off early to pick Diana up from school and we headed to Woburn.  We had packed the night before.  We grabbed the shuttle in Woburn and headed to Boston Logan Airport.  We were there in about 20 minutes and thanks to TSA got through security very quickly and had time for a nice relaxing dinner

The flight was a little over two hours and we got out to a taxi around 8:30pm.  It was then an hour and a half ride to Athens so we arrived at our hotel around 10pm.  We stayed at the Springhill Suites in Athens.  It was great and sits adjacent to UGA.  We crashed hard!

We were up bright and early...got ready and headed down for our complimentary breakfast.  Then it was time to Uber over to campus.  We were meeting the troops at the chapel building on campus and it did take us a little bit to find it BUT we commented on how beautiful the campus was...even though you are in the heart of city, you don't even know...it was simply gorgeous!

The information session was so so helpful...it was lead by their Assistant Director of Admissions and he really covered all of the things they are looking for from their applicants...made so much sense and did make Diana a bit nervous as this will be a challenging one to get into.

After the info session, we broke out into tour groups and our tour guide, Val, was awesome- so informative and friendly and energetic and we even learned the "Dawgs" chant- so fun!

Their claim to fame, the football stadium, did not disappoint either- it was incredible!

This is where our tour ended

What a great time!  I haven't seen Diana this excited on a college tour yet.  Right now it is at the top of her list...so we shall see!

We grabbed an Uber right from the stadium.  We quickly grabbed our bags in the hotel, checked out and hailed another Uber to get us back to the airport in Atlanta.  There was SO MUCH traffic...I was getting nervous that we would miss our flight but we made it thanks to our awesome driver Maggie- she was a love and I really enjoyed her stories.

We arrived at the airport at 1:40pm...flew through security and made it to our gate just in time to board- phew!

It was a quick two hour ride home and we landed at Logan around 5:15pm.

We headed back to the shuttle in Woburn, grabbed my car and made the treck back home.  We actually headed right to Tuscan Village where Rob picked up Diana and I headed over to Tavern On The Square to meet my besties to celebrate Lea's birthday- I was so happy that I made it in time!

Meanwhile...the softball team was practicing nearby at a brand new turf field at a large Dick's Sporting Goods complex- per Rob, they felt like rock stars ;)

I crashed HARD friends- I was wiped!

Can you believe I did not take ONE pic for the entire day- wow- that's how tired I was- ha!

We slept in- Praise God :)  Eva had slept over a friend's house so the three of us shot over to Revitalize for our teas and breakfast.  Then we headed to Home Depot to grab some flowers for our planters on our front steps to get prepped for the prom next weekend.  Diana came and approved our choices ;)

After that, we unloaded our loot in the garage for now.  I then headed to meet a prospective cheer coach for the high school .  We had a blast catching up and talking about Diana's senior year and what we should all be doing to make the program even better.

After that, I did the meal planning and did some organization and then I took a luxurious nap!  Later on, I had a nail appointment and then headed home to make dinner for my loves.

We caught up on some shows and went to bed early.  Felt so good to catch up on some rest!

Diana and I headed to Starbucks just like the old days :)

Then I met Rob and his dad at mass and then headed to an open house I was doing for my boss.  It was really successful and I collected some great leads of buyers who are looking for representation- woohoo!

After that, Rob did the groceries and I made dinner for the fam.  I also set up the tables for prom next weekend while I had the extra time.

I watched some tv and headed to bed early again.  Though it was an exciting and busy weekend, I caught up on much needed rest so I feel good.  What were you all up to?

I had a brief tour of UGA in 2016 when we visited a blog friend and I remember being in awe of their football stadium! I've been holding off on visiting my favourite greenhouse but I want to get there soon. I'm so ready for outdoor flowers. Sadly, we're getting MORE SNOW today :(

College tours are so important to do, as academic offerings and social life are good to see in person. It looked like a bustling campus! Glad you had a successful Open House and were able to attend your friends party!

Wow-you squeezed a lot in! Atlanta traffic is absolutely no joke so glad you made the flight. The college app process is so incredibly stressful and the tours help tremendously. My nephew is a senior so has just gone through it, and somehow things work out. He's going to Penn State next year. I'm excited to see your prom pics. We have a party here for the Derby and I need to get my pots done, but haven't started. Enjoy all the excitement this week!

What a jam-packed weekend you had! Your college tour reminded me of my own trips with my two girls. Such special times. Savor them all! UGA looks like a beautiful campus! Happy prom week!

Wowzers! That is quite a weekend! Atlanta traffic and TSA make me so nervous. My sister lived there for a few years and I always added a ton of time because you never know what you are going to get at the airport! I'm glad you had a successful visit. Glad you made it home to celebrate and do the open house. Way to go on the nap! You needed it! Also, we love Springhill Suites. The rooms are a good fit for us and the complimentary breakfast is key with teenagers! Happy Monday!
