Happy Halloween Friends!
Hi Friends! I am here with Patty for our Monthly Musings Linkup!
We were so excited that our linkup actually fell on Halloween this year! Yeah!
This month we are talking all things Halloween and Fall Fun! It's a great one and we are answering the questions below...hope you will join us!
1. What do you usually do for Halloween?
It depends on the year but there is always trick-or-treating...whether it is in a friend's neighborhood or our neighborhood....Eva is still in the fun age bracket...Diana and Tommy are actually taking her and a few of her hockey pals Trick Or Treating tonight while we host friends and family. It should be a great night!
2. Favorite Fall Traditions?
Decorating with pumpkins, Football Games, Risotto Night, Milford Pumpkin Festival, Trick Or Treating, Hosting Thanksgiving Eve and Apple Picking (though we didn't end up squeezing that in this year)
3. Milky Way or Snickers? Starburst or Skittles?
Oh I like them all...if I had to choose though, I would say Milky Way and Skittles
4. Trick Or Treat or Host A Party?
We are doing both this year!
5. Hand Out Candy or Go With Trick Or Treaters?
I have done both over the years and love both- this year since I am hosting, I will give out the candy
6. Do you Trick or Treat on October 31st or another date?
Typically the 31st but certain years it has been postponed due to weather...we actually enjoyed the years that they made Trick Or Treating on a Saturday Night! We all said they should do that every year!
7. Do You Decorate for Halloween?
YES
8. What do you do with leftover Halloween candy?
The girls work their way through it for a few months
9. What are your Trick or Treat Hours?
5-8pm
10. What do you have for dinner on Halloween?
Oh I love this question. Growing up, my mom said she would make something "light" and we would have her homemade cheese souffle...I can still taste it! Since becoming a Mom we have been enjoying dinner at friends' houses which always includes spooky dishes.
This year we are hosting and have some spooky, fun and delish dishes including: Mummy Dogs, Mummy Pizzas, Monster Mac N Cheese, Jimmy Fallon's Chili, Laurel's Beef Stew, Cornbread, Spinach Dip and Dippers, a Spooky Charcuterie Board and more
Happy Halloween No Matter How You Celebrate- thanks for joining us today!
