Here is what our crazy busy AND very exciting weekend looked like...
Friday Night
We grabbed dinner at Zachary's and then headed to WHS to see Eva star as Marlin in Finding Nemo Jr.
She wow'd us! Rob said, "Eva has arrived!"
Everyone expects the theater performances from Diana but Eva shocked everyone- we were so proud and so so happy for her!
Not only was it the happiest we have ever seen her...and not only did she love this theater experience BUT she made some wonderful new friends and my heart is so so happy!
Saturday
We started with a date walk and I was SO HAPPY because it has been too long...too cold etc...but it finally feels like spring- yeah!
Then it was time for Diana's dance comp- we were able to see her first group number- "Pirates" which ended up placing first for Large Groups! Yeah!
Then when I took Eva to her 2nd show, Rob and our parents stayed for the rest of the comp and got to see "Money" and "Running" which placed first and second- YEAH!
Dinner Break
Meanwhile in Windham, when Nemo wrapped up, there were so many tears...I have never seen Eva cry so hard...she made us all cry...me...Cass...Alexis...Beth Ann...Matt and even her Hockey Coach Mark...unreal!
After the show, they had a short cast party and then we all headed to Diana's comp to be able to see her compete with her solo- she took our breath away
She ended up placing 3rd! She got "Elite Gold" Status which was the highest you could achieve AND won a special award for "Strength and Control"- she crushed it :)
Sunday
We dropped Diana off back at the comp so she could support some friends and the rest of us headed to mass.
Later, I brought her lunch and watched a bunch of the comp while Rob and Eva were at softball.
Yesterday afternoon, she and Natalie competed with their duet "Whipped Into Shape"- they didn't place in the Top 5 this time but they have one more chance when we head to NYC in a few weeks
We all crashed last night with pizza and celebrated our wonderful weekend!
