Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Though it has continued to be rainy, we thoroughly enjoyed a low key summer weekend (after Mama's Thursday adventure anyway!)
Here is what it looked like.....
Thursday
The girls were at Triple Threat Camp and Rob and I were working and then Mama took off for Boston and had a blast at our summer outing...we truly celebrated the business surviving COVID.
We started at the Roof Top Bar at the Envoy Hotel...amazing views, great drinks and fun apps
My cocktail of choice for the evening- Watermelon Frose- it was incredible- I need to learn how to make this- I am thinking I will take my frose recipe and add a splash of watermelon vodka..the best part though, was the frozen chunk of watermelon in the middle!
Our fearless leaders- love these humans
My Janie...
She gifted me a Cape Cod Bracelet...I have wanted one of these for sooo long...I cried....now we match :)
Then some of us stayed in the city and did some bar hopping
We were really surprised to see so many places closing so early....these poor businesses are still struggling to find talent due to Covid...boo!
I grabbed an Uber back to my hotel around 10:30- I couldn't wait to crash!
I was so excited to be able to relax in my own hotel room....it was a true vacation night for Mama! ( I stayed at the Marriott Long Wharf- it is one of my favorite hotels and it is in my favorite part of Boston- Waterfront and North End)
Friday
The next morning, I was up bright and early as always...I read and had my coffee and then took off so I could make mass at home and then get back to work
What do you think of my new PJs? LOVE them...so comfy..thank you Soma!
At lunchtime, my Mom and I joined our lady friends for Tom's Mom's bday celebration lunch at Copper Door- it was a lovely time
That night, The girls and I joined our besties and grabbed a quick dinner at Shorty's Mexican and then got to see Caden in his theater camp show- he played Aladdin and was amazing!
Saturday
Diana and I were up bright and early because we needed to be at a lab to do some blood work for her...hoping this thing is something minor.
Then we spent a couple of hours at her dance studio so Mrs. Mullen could work with her and then Wesley, our favorite film director, recorded her audition for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show...kid you not! Such a wonderful experience and so grateful for the Mullens who find these opportunities for her! Mama was in her happy place...my heart was squished getting to watch her do what she loves!
Later on we picked up a costume she needed for camp from Cass and then the girls swam for a bit and I finished my book- so far it was my favorite book of the year- yeah! Actually going to gift the hardcover to one of my pals Jill for her birthday- it is Jennifer Weiner's new book "That Summer"....grab it today...you won't be sorry ladies...it is truly about the women's movement with a beautiful backdrop of Cape Cod.
Daddy and I then snuck in a date walk :)
That night, we headed to mass and then tried a Greek Restaurant in the next town over...it was just ok but we had many laughs...love my little fam!
Sunday
Daddy and Eva headed to hockey while Diana and Mama chilled...the rest of the day was mostly chilling too and exactly what we needed!
Last night, I headed to another Blackout Meeting as we prepare for the 10th Anniversary.
That's a wrap! What were you up to?

Sounds like a lovely weekend- so much good food, friends and family. I hope the audition went amazing and Diana makes it. What an incredible opportunity!!
Time with friends is my love language. So I love what you've been up to!
Praying that all is ok with D's bloodwork. You're right - it's such a treat to stay in a hotel room alone. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
